I was thinking about the division we are in with the Jaguars, Titans, and Texans.

Texans are the only team capable enough to win the division right now, they have a good triplet in Schaub, Foster, and Johnson along with a menacing defense with Watt and the addition of Ed Reed.

Titans are the one that I could see as the possible sleeper in the division, it will all depend on Locker and how he develops. They still have Britt and CJ and they added some good pieces this offseason.

Jaguars are a lost cause for a couple of years still. They really only have MJD and he is wearing down quickly, maybe with the new regime they can make something happen, but I doubt it.

Prediction: Texans win the division 13-3, Colts win the 5 seed again 12-4, Titans get 3rd 7-9, Jaguars round out with 2-14.

Texans and Colts will battle it out the next couple years for the division title, going back and forth, what are your thoughts?

I get to watch the Texans a lot because of my location. I personally feel like their offense is on a decline. They have relied on Andre Johnson for too long and have done nothing to help him out. Arian is still on the rise, I don't see Schaub as the type of player that can put this team on his shoulders. That said, they are still a good team, and depending on this years draft, you may be right.

first off who needs a real qb !? There are for teams in the afc south . Secondly if your going to ask for others thoughts give a complete thought of your own !

Well, there are 4 AFC South teams.

Colts: Andrew Luck

Texans: Matt Schuab

Titans: Jake Locker

Jags: Gabbert

3 out of the 4 teams need a "real" QB

I did what I was saying there is that team would be a whole lot better with a more than average QB.

What "team" are you talking about?

WHO???

Honestly, Im not sure if he is sober right now.  Or is too young to have gone through a proper english class.

I think you have the order right but I think the Colts will be 8-8 or less. They are going to come down to earth with a big thud. Still good for a rebuilding team. Houston is a big step ahead of the Colts and everyone else in the division..... :dancing:

You are right about that every team in the division but Texas needs a "real" QB and not one with a 76 QB rating.... :dancing:

I agree. IMO the Texans window has passed. I know a couple of Texans fans that will certainly throw a fit when they see that, but it's just my opinion and I think we'll all see it come true next season. IMO the Colts get back to owning the division next season. The Texans will give us a good fight for it, but in the end we'll come out on top.

76 QB Rating? What are you talking about?

Luck had a miserable 76.5 QB rating. He was ranked 26th among all NFL starting QBs....... :dancing:

Man, we already got one thread closed today. We better not get another one closed!!!

That thread was closed because some posters started calling other posters names like "troll". The lead poster here asked a question and I answered him.   :dancing:

Nah, only one of those teams needs to be worried. Everyone else is gonna be okay.

Just because a poster does not believe that Andrew Luck is a God does not mean that person is a troll. However, posters that call other posters names because they can't make an argument certainly are trolls...... :dancing:

So you're saying Luck isn't good cause of his QB rating?

I am saying his QB rating says he is not the QB you all think he is. That and his awful completion percentage and high number of turnovers...... He regularly thows a ball that floats on long routes and comes up short. He also throws behind receivers on short routes at an alarming rate. I don't think Luck is a superstar now nor will he ever be one unless he can fix all of those things. And, please don't start with "but" and all of the excuses you Luck apologists always bring up in his defense. That is the stat he leads the league in, excuses...... :dancing:

QBR is not the say all end all to Luck's rookie campaign. Was it godlike? Of course not was downright ugly at times. Yet still week in and week out aside from the NY and NE games  He made the mistakes every rookie made, yet kept his cool and took what our D gave him and scored when necessary. I am no homer and have no horseshoe glasses but it doesn't take those to see that he did a darn good job for what he was given.

He will have an upgraded offensive line and a new offensive scheme that relies on short throws and efficiency, not long passes and chunk yardage.  If his numbers don't change dramatically this year compared to last, you will have a valid point.  Until then, it is pure speculation for what is forthcoming. In this case, Luck is like investing.  Past performance is not indicative of future results.  ;)

Who cares what you call it.... He has a very bad "Passer" rating then....... It goes with a poor competion percentage or will you claim that is a dropped passes percentage. He also turns the ball over a lot. All of that makes for a low passer rating if that is the term you prefer.... This is the only rating system that really matters and Luck is hopelessly bad..... :dancing:

I agree with all of that in part although they are really just backhanded excuses. Leopards rarely change their spots and I doubt Mr. Luck will either... But one can always hope..... I'm pretty sure Peyton Manning will be a contender for MVP and Andrew Luck will not.... :dancing:

I make it clear that I am no Luck or Irsay fan. If you don't like what I have to say then use your ignore feature...... I don't try to derail anything. I just point out how wrong people are in what they think Luck is....... :dancing:

If last years success was a pie it woud be divided as such:

50% Chuck Strong

30% Bruce Arians

20% Individual Accomplishments

Which i could break down by player

5% Reggie Wayne

4% Allen

4 % Ballard

3 % Redding

2 % Davis

1% Hilton

1% Luck

How does Davis getting burned all year help us out?

EDIT: As a matter of fact, your whole list is terrible. In no way Ballard was more importanat than Luck or Hilton.

I agree with ol'blue, Luck sucks, Reggie Wayne is hardly an average receiver. Everyone that played defense should be working at McDonalds, the 2012 draft class is overrated as T.Y. Hilton, Vick Ballard, Dwayne Allen, and Coby Fleener would be lucky to see the field on good teams and Irsay is an * for getting rid of Peyton Manning, we would be better off with passing on Luck and have Manning lead us to the playoffs and choke again/ sarcasm

    • Yeah, Ebukam almost looks clumsy next to Latu. He's just so fluid.
    • Did Hou actually get that much better? This really does remain to be seen. I am of the opinion that the signing of Diggs is a signing that has been made about 2 years too late. He won't be bad, but he isn't a top 10 WR in the NFL anymore. I wouldn't put him as any more dangerous that Pittman, so WR's are a push. We have the better RB, Mixon is great and all, but he is not JT. We have the better Oline, and it isn't even close. TE's are a push, we have a lot of upside, but until it is realised im very "meh" on our TEs. QB - I would argue that Stroud is probably more likely to regress to the mean in year 2 vs improve. That rookie season of his was a bit silly, and they had an easier schedule last season too. If he really does build on last year and get even better, then our entire discourse here is probably irrelevant as we will have another Mahomes level QB on our hands to deal with in the AFC and within the AFC South no less. So unless Richardson is also a Mahomes level talent in that scenario, we are done for anyways. To me, our success in this coming season comes down to 2 groups on this entire team. 1. The QB (because... duh) 2. Our DBs. If we even get average play from the DBs, I think this team has the ability to win the whole damned thing (supposing Richardson stays healthy and is what we all hope he is). I would also argue that Houston are paper thin. If they lose a OL starter, Mixon or even one of their starting WRs.... they have a very big drop off. And injuries happen in the NFL. Just sayin...
    • If he wasn’t fast enough or athletic enough anymore for linebacker, then he’s not going to be able to cut it at Safety where speed , quickness, athleticism are even more important.    Wish it wasn’t so….
    • could he be another bob sanders at that position?
    • Man I love me some Maniac, but it won't happen, and he's too slow after his surgeries.
