All I'll say is I hope the media tears this team a new one. Same with every commentator that's local and national, and every sports site on tv and the internet. I want Irsay to see the rage from everyone on how embarrassing this game was to watch, how every Colts fan wasted their time today, and how we have to feel about being represented by this garbage on the field.

Yes, I'm emotional and upset right now.

Spot on.

But I didn't waste my time watching in a sports bar/restaurant or the Red Zone......I went golfing!

In case anyone noticed, I wasn't here too much last week and didn't even play the weekly pick'em. Like you and some others my enthusiasm has significantly dwindled with the AR5 injury. Its like the last eight seasons or so again....injured, over the hill, washed up and low talent QB's.

I didn't feel like spending my money in a restaurant OR waste my time catching a play here and there on Red Zone watching Minshew!

Btw, I played my 9holes on my favorite course in Boca. I was 5 over.

Hope you enjoyed the casino!

To be honest after Hurts unbelievable interception at the end the thought crossed my mind that he did it intentionally.  That's how crazy it looked to me.  I couldn't believe he made such a bad decision.

He probably did. Jets have to hang around so it matters when Rogers returns. haha

My only question about this is what if it starts to look like last year. That could push Irsay over the edge. I don’t expect things to get that low but yesterday was how teams lose faith in quarterbacks.

Irsay has shown alot of patience with new coaches his track record speaks for itself. I don't think he is going to come unhinged with a rookie HC. The Colts are already exceeding my expectations and most likly his too. Manning only won 3 games his rookie season. We will at least win 5-7 games IMO. If we win more great, if not it's about growing as a team. AR getting hurt is my biggest concern. He needs to learn when to fight for it and when to live another day. His biggest ability is availability. I love his athleticism but he needs to take better care of his body.

One last thing. I love Minshew but we did not sign him to be the franchise QB and your faith in him should be very limited. He is a good backup but that is all he is and will ever be. We need to lean on Moss and Taylor and Minshew just needs to manage the game.

Agree and I think Shane has to help him more.  In games like yesterday’s coaches should be trying to keep it a two score game as long as possible.  Not taking three points when available only puts more pressure on the quarterback and coach.  Going for it on 4th and 17 deep in your own territory with Minchew’s arm is another head scratcher for me.  Oh well.  On to Cleveland.

there are some like that but Chloe is here win or lose.  I just think she overreacted a little yesterday.  It happens.

I am not sure if I over reacted. We will find out Sunday and next couple games. It’s how they respond. I still think it’s going to be difficult with Minshew at QB. He is a good relief guy not so good as the full time starter.

I agree I just don’t think it makes them last years team.  They are better than that.  Yes I think there will be more days like yesterday before the season is over if Richardson does miss the season.  However I think there are going to be games like the Ravens and Titans game where you can enjoy yourself for a Sunday afternoon too.

I know you post with emotion a lot and I have respected a lot of your opinions over the years. Here is the deal though, you only had us winning 6 games this year and that was before AR got injured (your before season pick), so what did you expect this team to do, win 10 or 11 games this season all of a sudden? I am probably, if not the most optimistic person in here and my before season pick was us winning only 8 games. Which 8 or even 9 is still achievable if we play smart football. At least you do show up after we win unlike 3 or 4 people in here who are super negative and say we suck. They disappear and did so after we beat Tennessee lmao . They will be here this week though bringing their normal 'we suck attitude', 'Ballard sucks' blah blah blah. I was very critical of the team last night, we laid an egg in an important game. It is what it is, but I am here after we lose regardless and state why we lost and I rarely make excuses for us unless I feel like the REFS were really bad or we just had a lot of injuries. Both losses to the Jags this year was because of Turnovers. We had 2 critical one's on opening day, and 4 yesterday. Pretty simple to why we lost. No excuses, they took advantage of our mistakes and capitalized on them.

Me being critical: We played sloppy in both games, overall I can't stand our D Scheme either, that just needs to change and it won't until we find a new D Coordinator.

There are going to be head scratches for sure. But just as much as AR is learning so is Shane. Minshew was really rattled and was forcing things. We should have leaned on our strength which right now is our running game. But like you said on to the Browns. Live and learn.

You were overacting really bad yesterday and probably don't even remember it because you were posting so fast and posting numerous things just bashing this team about everything. chuckling homer simpson GIF

It happens, I am not complaining as this is a wide-open forum so it is what it is.

I was on the 6-9 wins bandwagon when the season started, there will always be games where a few plays swing it one way or the other. We will see which end of the 6-9 range we end up at.

I am thinking five to seven personally.  Not a great year by any stretch but better than last year and if your QB is out for the year that’s progress.

Yeah I had us 8-8-1, the tie was just to be funny but I could see a tie. We have already played in 2 OT games.

It would be difficult to go that low again, even if we tried.

Of course if we lose to the worst Patriots team ever, it might feel close.  Lol

Looking at our schedule, we have a lot of real winnable games:

Browns

at Panthers

Patriots in London

Bucs

at Tennessee

Steelers

Raiders

Houston here.

That is 8 games alone that we should have a chance of winning, we should at least win 5 of those at worse.

People need to be realistic about Minshew.  We paid the dude 3 million and so far have gotten 3 good games and 1 bad game out of him.  Out of a backup, every team would take that every day of the week.

I think most people are realistic about him. There were a few in here that said we would be better off with Mustache starting instead of AR, that we would win more but not many. I do think because of our schedule, Mustache can be at least a .500 QB and he is a great backup, but a backup for a reason like you say.

I still would love to see this team make the playoffs. It would be a nice building block/nice achievement going into next year and we get AR back as well. In order to do that, we need to go 6-5 the rest of the way and get to 9 wins, that may not even be enough, but it would be 50/50 because there are so many other teams that are basically around .500 teams - it's called parity.

Without AR and true lack of dynamic play makers, it is going to be hard. I always felt we'd end up in the 10-15 draft pick range and a 6-11 or 7-10 will probably get us there, IMO.

On George Bremers podcast they are already talking about playing Sam because you can add more plays to the playbook.

I noticed in the Ravens game how unathletic  he looked. I thought maybe it was because of the rain? Amyway, the colts were kinda gifted that game by Ravens mistakes/refs and making like 10 50+ yard FG's. It took until the third possession in OT to get in position to make the winning kick..how often do you get three possessions in OT and win? Lol

Browns is gonna be tougher than most think. They actually look respectable this year. Bucs are over performing expectations too. Houston and TN will be tougher the second time around

Yeah but they don't have a QB near as good as Lawrence is so I don't expect their offense to do much.

Their OL is better than that of the Jags, that is why they could beat the 49ers with P J Walker playing QB. They win low scoring games. I can see a 23-9 or 24-13 type of beatdown for us.

The colts are capable of losing all 8 with mustache at QB haha..... Not predicting they will but every team left has a better QB lol.

Pats are tanking for Caleb and Willis/Levis may play if Tannwhill is out? If Watson plays the brownies have the advantage.

I still think the colts will win at least 3 more because it's the nfl. Still could get to maybe 7 or 8 wins  but no playoffs as usual.

I did pretty well at the casino yesterday. I had lost $215 the previous time, but won $150 this time. Stopped at Sonic on the way home and bought 4 grilled cheese sandwiches. Had them hot and well toasted. Was binge-eating a bit and hadn't eaten all day before that. Was very tired and just got up about an hour ago.

I said a few weeks ago, the matchup against the Browns defense is going to be a major test. They've given up just over 1,000 total  yards this season, in five games. They're top 5 in many defensive categories (top 1 or 2 in some of them). They've only forced 4 turnovers, and they're middle of the pack in sacks, so this isn't a high variance type of performance.

They allow 15 yards per drive, they allow scores on 18.6% of possessions (comfortably in first place), they're 23.1% on third down... This is not a good matchup for the Colts, period. We might get shut out.

I think it will be a tough game but we haven't lost 2 in a row all season so I think we squeeze one out. Their offense doesn't impress at all. Teams that we have lost too so far are capable of scoring a lot of points and have had the superior QB. Lawerence twice and Stafford. We can and have actually thrive in low scoring games. In our 3 wins, we have held the Texans to 20, Ravens 19, and Titans 16.

I don't like sharp cheddar cheese at all. I eat them with mild american cheese. My taste buds are way too sensitive for the sharp stuff. I do like mild cheddar though.

Maybe we can force turnovers on defense and get some cheap points. But I expect our offense to struggle mightily.

Just watching the OL play, I know the line has gotten some credit for improving in recent weeks. But all along, we've been allowing a lot of pressure, we haven't been moving the LOS in the run game, most of our success running has been due to scheme and some defensive mistakes. And while Ryan Kelly is good pre-snap, he's not dominating physically, and we've been getting the ball out quickly to limit pass rush impact. We can't win in short yardage. Etc.

And a lot of that showed up yesterday against the Jags. They were disciplined, they were faster and more physical up front, and our offense crumbled, running and passing. And the Browns are much better up front than the Jags.

I still think the OL is a problem. There's some promise with some young guys, and Nelson is back on track, but we're not physical enough, bottom line.
