Just a couple of thoughts:

 

I feel a little better about guys like Turay and Wilson in particular and some returning guys on defense.

 

Ballard, Reich and Eberflus communicate well and give you the impression they are all on the same page. (I’m waiting for a Sirianni interview)

It was cool to hear from Eberflus. We don’t get to hear from him that often. I can’t wait to see Turay.  He has bulked up and looks like he developed a spin move.

To be completely honest, I’m just glad Eberflus is back. After coaching the Colts 2018 to a half way decent defense is like a miracle or something. He deserved the recognition he received because solid defense is not something that belongs in the same sentence as Colts, prior to him joining.

I think you’re giving McD too much credit for Flus...not that McD wasn’t involved as he clearly was, but Flus was always a Ballard choice and Ballard always had a definitive vision for the defense that Flus was the guy to come implement.

Flus is doing a heckova job so far but 18 of our 29 draft picks 

were for defense the last three drafts. Ballard isn't loafing when

it comes to that side of the ball.

Yes, and I love it we finally got a GM who cares about defense.

I love that he is hard on the players and that he said he wants them to play violent!
