very interesting.. rockets with home court again.. Iggy def missed

That's a very good point because he would have been out there at the end,

Can the Rockets win games playing 7 players, though...if GSW is at full strength???

I know David West cant guard Capela for long..but you need him out there a few minutes in games like this

Iggy could've played tonight but Kerr was being cautious. He will be out there in Game 5.

That was a mistake..if he really could play

Yeah...I know what you mean…

…...we are a missed goal tending call away from  being in Boston tonight getting ready for Game 5

Yep. That game was Game 5 in Cleveland as well. Game 5s when series are tied are so freakin crucial. The winner of those almost always win the series in NBA history.

I am still shocked the Warriors only scored 12 points in the 4th quarter!  They were taking some awful shots.  I am kind of glad the Rockets won though, it makes that series even better.  It's looking like it'll go 7 which is good for the NBA.  I still think the Warriors will win the series.  I am still up in the air on the Cavs/Celtics.  Of course I want the Celtics to win  because I can't root for Lebron and would like to see that series go 7,but my guy says the Cavs find a way tonight.  I still don't think the Cavs or Celtics have a chance against the Warriors or Rockets.  The Cavs might have an outside chance vs the Rockets but that'd be it.

You don't trade away a young guy who averages 14.3 pts, 3.4 rebounds and shoots 40.2 percetage from 3 point range.

He isn't exactly "young". There are only a couple players on the team older then him. He is 29....he is at his prime. Those are good numbers for maybe a 6th man. That said if he is your number 3 scoring threat on the team....you need an upgrade. I like Bogs...but he isn't going to get better and he has a nice tradable contract. If you want a star all I was saying is he is a piece that will likely be included. Him and Collison both shot the ball well....I like them...but they are older and don't fit the time frame of turning this team into a championship in a couple years. They both have team options for next year...meaning a team could trade for them and play them under their current deal or just cut them outright with no cap concerns....those are great bargaining chips. They will likely have to be in any deal if you want to upgrade the team. Fact is we need an upgrade at the 3 spot and pg spot if we are going to take that next step....we have good pieces but nothing great. You aren't going to trade crappy players to get a great one...you have to give up value. Bogs has value...we may want to keep him but if you want to upgrade he is likely one of the guys you have to move...him or Collison. Again...I like Bogs...but compared to the core of this roster who are 22-26...he is older and a stop gap guy. I like his shooting but we can upgrade at the position. He isn't going to get better. Your seeing him at his max. If we moved him to the bench 10 pts I would be happy....he could be a nice boost...but he isn't elite defensively for sure and he isn't elite offensively either...he is just good. I won't be mad if we don't trade him...just saying he is absolutely tradable though.

You can't put West out there...they would just run his man at Harden and Paul and get switched off on them....look at Game 2...he got killed. He is a defensive liability. They needed Iggy a lot. His defense was missed. I'd rather go with young athletic guys....and then everyone needs to crash the boards. Poor poor shot selection last night. Forcing 3's with plenty of time left...didn't get Kevin the ball on the block. Looked like what got them in trouble against Cleveland a couple years ago. Houston is hungry...desperate...GS better bring more energy.

The thing is no "elite" player is going to come to Indy to play. No matter how many trades you make getting better than what we have is never going to happen till Simon opens up his checkbook. Any player we trade for at this point will not make the Pacers go into the playoffs with a better chance to advance.

I have been a Pacer fan since the ABA days and I know these things. Till we get an owner who is willing to go over the cap we will never win a championship.

That is the reality of being a Pacer fan.

I think trading Bogdanovic would be a huge mistake. He is our 3rd best player and it can be argued that he played as well as Turner did for most of the season. He is a Great Floor Spreader at the 3 spot. 29 isn't old for guys that mainly just spot up and shoot. Guys like Korver who is 37 and Redick is 33 for example are still going strong. Unless Bogdanovic is part of a deal to get us a Top 5 pick in the Draft or is a part of a Kawhi Leonard type of trade there is no way I am trading him.

I think our 4 best players are:

1. Oladipo

2a. Turner

2b. is Bogdanovic

4. Lance

For a small market team we've had some good runs. ECF against the Heat and Bulls back in the day....Championship against the Lakers. We had some great teams...just not the greatest. Your right your not going to get a lot of free agents to come here. It would take the right combination of drafting great young talent and the right trades to line up a team that perhaps could make a run. We are never going to be a dynasty...but maybe we catch lightening in a bottle. Getting Anthony Davis next offseason ain't happening...I fully understand that....but maybe you sign Aaron Gordon who is an up and coming player...trade Collison, expiring Jefferson, and draft pick for a hungry young Kemba Walker. Re-sign Lance and you have a starting line-up of Walker, Dipo, Bogs, Gordon, Turner with Sabonis, Lance, Young and Joseph and TJ on the bench. That is a pretty deep team...and could throw waves at teams. Maybe something crazy happens and SA decides to tear it all down and goes for Myles, TJ, 23, Jefferson and then we have Kawai to pair with Collison, Dipo and Sabonis and Young and Bogs and Lance coming off the bench. Imagine the defensive units we could throw out there...Joseph, Dipo, Kawai, Young, Sabonis....and Lance to boot....that's some good defenders....it won't happen but maybe it does. Maybe we go over the cap if we have a real shot at it...but agree Simon ain't spending if we aren't winning.

He isn't too old...but he isn't going to be more than he is...which is basically a good specialist. I'm not trying to trade him...just saying he isn't off the market. He is one of the few actual chips we have that teams would be interested in...you would have to likely include him in just about any scenario we get a good player back. Just facts. I like him..I don't WANT to lose him but it's a necessary evil if you think your going to upgrade the roster. Just is what it is. I think Dipo is the only untradeable asset. If it meant landing an all-star caliber player then anyone else would have to be considered...and that includes Myles too honestly (although I think he is part of our plans too).

Celtics win crucial Game 5! They now have 2 chances to put the Cavs away, Games 6 and 7. Game 7 is at Boston if necessary. Historically speaking they have a 90% chance of winning the series now being up 3-2 with HCA. I'll say 70% IMO because LeBron is the opponent (70/30). Having said that, the Cavs are in some big stinky Doo Doo about now.

GAME 5:  Houston 23-17..but GSW hanging in....the lead should be larger

David West in the game..Kerr hadnt  been using him

Houston should be up by 15 or so they have missed a bunch of wide open 3's. That may come back to bite them. Neither team is shooting well.
