Maybe he'll end up there - who knows. But NOW as some sources suggest? That's nuts. It would be normal practice for USC to conduct a search in the off-season.

 

I can't imagine him walking away from the season Denver is having, not to mention walking away from an NFL career to try something completely different. Doesn't look good on your resume either.

If USC wants him, they're going to throw a wad of cash at him. But I don't think they're going to try to install anyone right now. These hires are usually made in the void before bowl season.

I wouldn't mind being the head coach at USC.  I have never coached at a high level before, but I certainly can't do any worse than Lane.  And I won't even cost as much as he did

I doubt he goes during the season so I don't think this will impact the Broncos.  If he does I think it will be like the guy from the Pats and Penn State a couple of a years ago where he accepts the job but finishes the year with the Broncos.  If anything an extended post season run by the Broncos might cost Del Rio that job because you can only wait so long to name a Head Coach in college because of recruiting.

Jack Del Rio would be an absolute fool to leave Denver. Rahim Moore, Robert Aryers, Quentin Jammer, Dominque Rogers Cromartie, Derek Wolfe, & Shaun Phillis. I'd stay perfectly still myself. Nice horses there.

SW1 would sign you right now 21isSuperman. After Lane, any candidate looks exceptional. Not on reflection on 21 at all.  ;)

Why? Being the only Texas school in the SEC is a nice gig. USC may be a great job, bit I'm guessing it comes with a lot of headaches.
