Making The Leap: TY Hilton

I could watch that 70 yard pass over and over again..That was the prettiest pass and catch in many years...and on 3rd and 23 as well....

Man I can too lol, Luck looking defenders off is beautiful, not to mention the perfect pass and blazing speed of Hilton. Thing of beauty between those two.

I still believe that comes second to the pass Andrew Luck threw to Austin Collie vs the Rams back in pre-season when he froze the safety on the hash mark and delivered a TD to Collie

Nice article and highlight package, but that 60 yarder against the Lions drives me crazy. If Avery doesn't fall asleep on his block that's a sure TD.  Bugs me every time.

I'm so high on this kid: Ambitious, driven and talented and I really think those rookie drops are going to anomaly.

I hope the offensive line gives him a little more time than last year, the poor guy didn't have time to scratch his @$$ on most plays last season. That play just shows what can happen when you give Luck a little breathing room in the pocket.

I want to see TY become more versatile.  Right now, he is more of either a deep threat or short route guy.  I want to see him work on his route running to be able to do more than just catch screens, slants, and go routes.  He was also one of the worst players in the league in terms of drop rate, so I'd like to see him work on his hands.

that was a great article !!!  I could watch that pass to TY on the 3rd and 23 in the Texans game.  That was a thing of beauty  LOL  I expect to see the chemistry between them grow in their 2nd year together.

    • With Downs getting ready to comeback and the colts now seeming to have lots of weapons on the outside does anyone else think we could see a package where they push Michael Pittman inside to play some tight end on passing downs? This doesn’t seem like a huge downgrade in blocking over Granson and would be a definite speed and route running upgrade.
    • The explosive plays is one of the main reasons we didn't "control the TOP". All 4 of our TDs came after explosive plays - 3 on offense(2 huge passes to Pierce, 1 to Dulin), one on ST(or am I misremembering one of them?). That's why TOP doesn't tell the whole story. The biggest problem was that we couldn't stop Houston's run game, which is why they stayed on the field so long,,, they just ran on us all day long.
    • Which I found it confusing on why they want to keep 5 tight ends and they barely get schemed to get open.....should've just kept 3 and used the other 2 roster spots for other depth positions
    • Mixon is good but not having 7 yards a carry great....colts run defense made him look alot better than expected
    • An interesting (can't quite go as far as to say fun watch). Both teams made big plays, both teams made mistakes. Differences seemed to be they pulled out miracle plays, and the run game. We had none, they had more than some.   Getting lots of pressure on the QB is great, not so great if you don't get home, and it's from being too aggressive.
