For once, I have to admit our division really sucks. I remember a few seasons ago when all four of our division's teams made the playoffs, and how Manning should deserve extra praise vs. Brady for the differential in division strength. Now our division is a laughing stock while Manning thinks to himself, "Oh, so now that I'm gone, the teams suddenly start sucking!?... I see how it is."

yup in 2007, the texans finished 4th at 8-8. NFC East sent 3 teams to the playoffs that year too.

I really don't understand power rankings, I don't watch college football so watching a team move up from 21 to 18 or 13 to 1 is meaningless to me. Just get in the postseason that really is all that matters, nobody probably had the Giants at #1 in December but they got in and took it from there.

Yes the Texans were never in the postseason until 2011 and no one else in the division made it. Between 1990-2002 it was possible though they only had 3 divisions. In 1994, the Bears, Vikings,Packers,& Lions, all made the playoffs as wildcards 3-6, I'm not sure if that was the only time.

BTW none of those four made it to the NFC championship game.
