Funny there were rumors decision to move on from BB came after the colds victory in Germany. Apparently after colts beat panthers things started to really heat up with Reich. Would be funny if colts got another coach fired.

Pat McAfee had a good point: all major in season firings seem to happen after losing to a bitter rival badly.

The Browns are not the Titans. I don’t see how Texans win this game without Stroud.

Browns most likely will lock up the 5th seed they keep finding ways to win. 4th, 6th or 7th seed is the most likely scenario for the playoffs now.

Well, I'd guess they are likely looking at more than one game.

I don't care who's favored, but it's weird to me that they think Heinicke is worth three points more than Ridder. It looks like the action has flipped also, from 60% of bets on the Colts to 60% of bets on the Falcons.

Heinicke isn't a good QB, he's even more limited than Ridder, but a little less turnover prone.

Falcons are favored by 1 per Sports Book Caesars. Keep in mind though, home teams usually get 3 points in the betting world. So, they really aren't favored.

I guess, on a neutral field, Vegas would give us the better chance of winning

...but for this week, the Falcons are the favorites to defeat the Colts.

All the more reason, to take serious, like in the the other ongoing thread... "Let’s Not Overlook the Falcons"

I was mainly commenting on the "just beat the Steelers part".

I don't think neither Heinicke nor Ridder are particularly good and are probably on par or close to it. So, why switching from one to the other gives such a big swing in odds and betting behavior is weird.

How can they look at how well we played against the Steelers vs how they lost to one of the worst NFL teams and come to this conclusion lol.

I think they are looking at our potential situation. No Pittman, No Moss, and No Taylor.  Probably why they swung things that way.  I however think Moss and Taylor will play.  Pittman probably not

    • I really want to win. It doesn't matter to me who the GM is. If Ballard, AR, and Steichen succeed and make us a playoff contender every year, I'll be fine with it and be happy to root for this team. I'm just sick of the losing and missing the playoffs. I trust Ballard in the draft, I trust Steichen as a QB guru. It's time for us to win, and if it's Ballard that does so, we won't have to do a complete rebuild, and that would be the biggest positive and best-case scenario that could happen.
    • Am I the only one who really hopes AR and Steichen end up being a success story and this hypothetical Ballard firing doesn’t happen?
    • You were picking better than me most weeks, just had unfortunate luck once or twice, I definitely earned that last spot. My average was pretty bad week after week.
    • You are missing out a rather LARGE piece of the puzzle in your factoring here. We had last season's win numbers with GARDNER FREAKING MINSHEW at QB practically the whole season. Love the guy and what he did for us last season, but he isn't exactly a world beater at the QB position. AR brings such a different dynamic to this offense and teamm, Shane is going to be chomping at the bit to get started this season. The sample size we saw from AR last season was small, but it was definitely encouraging - especially considering we were all expecting him to be much more raw and inaccuarte. He basically red-shirted last year, learning the NFL game and in Steichen's ear the whole time, while learning the playbook inside out.  Our team has fundamentally stayed the same as last season, which damn near won the AFC South with Gardner at QB for the love of god. Now we add AR to that mix, as well as some very interesting additions in Mitchell and Latu who could have very meaningful impacts. The fact that we are so under the radar is almost laughable - AFC South isnt going to know what hit it.
    • Great points!  I would assume the Irsay’s would conduct the interviews. If Steichen is given more control he would as well or the new GM could decide his fate like Ballard did with Pagano. Several ways it can go and we are a few years away from it even happening so who really knows. I’m hoping none of it matters and the team becomes a true contender and this discussion is merely killing time.
