If they were going to make a move it would’ve happened by now, so I’m not holding my breath tbh.

There's constant roster churn going on, especially on the PS. Won't be any major move, but I imagine we definitely will have to pick up another at some point.

It won't be flashy as you can tell by list above.

King would be about as flashy as it gets although I do like a few of those practice squad guys. Have to sign them to active roster though , which is fine, because Baker's spot can be had anytime.

S Xavier Woods is with Carolina...

You meant Xavier Rhodes?

I’m a Penn St fan, so naturally I’d like to see if Castro-Fields could develop. He has fantastic speed and can cover tall receivers, but reports are he is way too inconsistent.  His Combine report said he’d become a reliable backup/Special Teamer.  6’1”/197 runs 4.3 40.  His best reason to take him is he’s young, and moldable. He was good enough in college to be a 6th round pick by SF. Now good enough to be on the Commanders PS, which I’m guessing is a tougher Defense than ours.   Of course, in college he played with All Americans, and maybe his numbers were good because Joey Porter Jr covered the best receivers?

A J Green is still in the NFL??????   Tremendous Prospect- always just a millisecond behind….. (as is every CB on a PS)

I think Ballard is quietly and passively tanking. We all saw what happened with the Bengals. With just two bad seasons back to back they were able to right a lot of their wrongs and take off.

I see that a lot.  I don’t believe today’s Colts can compare with the Bengals getting Burrow, and two really good receivers in a short time.  Our record will probably put us in the top ten draft order, but the Bengals were #1.  Too late to tank that bad.  I doubt we can even get up high enough now for Marvin Harrison Jr, and that or someone like him is needed for sure!

Yeah, I don't think it will be as fast of a turnaround like what Cincy did. But I hope between this year's draft group (which has been pretty good so far) and next year we can at least get more competitive again.

Why. When you have your QB it can turn around very fast.

I love Richardson already, but I view next season as his first true rookie season. This year was more of a redshirt year.

He'll still be learning from the bench, but he's going to play like a rookie at times when he comes back.

Let it go.

No more upgrades for this season. Just roll with whatever comes about.

I would hope that behind the scenes all involved realizes that this team needs a true overhaul in players and coaches and won't try to Band-Aid this thing for a couple extra possible wins that won't matter at all in the bigger picture.

Agreed.  C-F was a name I saw last spring as having both some production in college AND traits Ballard likes.  Already been released by SF, though.  Seems like he might have the same issues as Darius Rush.

I think that is smart.  Unless some great player drops out of the sky, I think he'd be just churning the bottom of the roster while playing each game with the backup QB....not going anywhere anyway.  Any position that needs improvement will likely see a greater investment in the offseason than what would be invested now.  The guy he picks up will likely never be part of the solution, and I don't think it matters to Irsay if we lose two games more than if we had this bottom of the roster player...as if he would even matter.

Given the circumstances, doing nothing to improve, is the only logical thing to do. We desperately need to be drafting ahead of as many teams as possible.

Pray we get to see Cross, Woods, Ogletree, Mallory, Freeland, and Pierce get a lot of reps hoping they can be solid parts for a real contender.

And let the rookies cut their teeth. In a few years, they'll be battle hardened and experienced players.

That was supposed to be the plan last year when they said Sam would finish out the year. Jeff Saturday quashed that. In truth, Sam probably wasn’t going to be much anyway, but now it seems we’ll never know….

I think we have been very competitive.  Our turnovers, especially Minchew’s  have been killing blows as they usually are.  Of course don’t forget our friends the refs.  Lol.

CB had three shots to pick up a very needed pass rusher.  Each one would have cost no more than a 2 or 3, and if he worked out we could have signed him to an extension.

I'm not pretending that it would have turned around this season, but we need to build for next season.  (Not to mention that any of those prospects are already better than anyone CB has drafted in the last five years)

Yes, they would have been expensive if they worked out, but a franchise pass rusher is worth it.

Yes, Montez reportedly had a heart issue (which was misdiagnosed).  And he's missed less games than Kwity.

Each one had an issue, but who doesn't?  Well worth the risk.

    • Boston is a -225 to win the series. I am putting $200 on Dallas to win $450 = total payout $650. If I lose, I just lose $200.    -225 is mindboggling. I expected something like -100. I have to take Dallas and those ridiculous odds.   @NFLUp, you said Tatum is better than Doncic. On what planet? Doncic is better and it isn't even debatable, take your green glasses off . Tatum is a top 10 player in the league, but Doncic is top 5. Also, as great as Holiday is on defense, there is no 1 guy in the league that can stop Uncle Drew. Good luck with that. If Boston wins, Tatum will have to play like an MVP - I don't see it, Brown won MVP of the East Finals. It will also be because of players like White, Horford making 3s out of their butt - that is possible. Brown will get his and Dallas will be fine with that, can't stop everyone. Porzingis is good but inconsistent - look at his history on every team he's been on, relying on him to be hero is a stretch. Dallas will win this in 6. Mark Cuban also said this his last year owning the team, he will go out in style. The narrative is there.   I have been pretty good at predicting these playoffs before each series started. I had the Celtics beating the Heat and Cavs, had the Mavs winning every series they have been in. I had the Pacers beating the Bucks and Knicks as well. The only series that surprised me, I had Denver over Minnesota, that still even went 7. Originally, I even had Boston beating the Pacers but switched it at the last second just because I am a Pacer fan. I didn't bet on it though because I knew Boston had the better team.
    • NBA is full of parity, there has been a different World Champion every year since the 2018 season:   2018: West Finals = Warriors over Rockets East Finals = Cavs over Celtics World Champion = Warriors   2019:  West Finals = Warriors over Blazers East Finals = Raptors over Bucks World Champion = Raptors   2020: (Covid Bubble Season) West Finals = Lakers over Nuggets East Finals = Heat over Celtics World Champion = Lakers   2021: West Finals = Suns over Clippers East Finals = Bucks over Hawks World Champion = Bucks   2022: West Finals = Warriors over Mavericks East Finals = Celtics over Heat World Champion = Warriors   2023: West Finals = Nuggets over Lakers East Finals = Heat over Celtics World Champion = Nuggets   2024: West Finals = Mavericks over Timberwolves East Finals = Celtics over Pacers World Champion = ? to be determined.   Italic = Symbolizes Conference Champion Bold = Symbolizes World Champion Underline = Pacers made a Final 4
    • OTAs are Voluntary, not Mandatory. Mini-Camp requires 1 Mandatory practice where all players have to be there.
    • Cubs better get it together, June is always a make or break month for a lot of teams.
    • Looking at it now, Colts signed Pittman for a bargain. Some could argue, he is underpaid now. . He is better than Nico Collins. I also think Miami paid way too much for Waddle.
