If he never played for the Broncos, I doubt he'd be living in Colorado.

 

As great as Luck was early in his career, if I had the ability to change one thing in Colts history, it would not be winning Super Bowl XLIV, it would be not drafting Luck and just trading the pick for a haul and keeping Peyton and he retired as a Colt.

 

Seeing how much Peyton is around the Broncos, in 30 years people who never saw him play will be like "wait, Peyton played most of his career for the Colts????"

As great as Peyton was, the post season is a different measuring stick and while yes he did make 4 super bowls, I believe he also owns the record for most one and dones

Peytons legacy, outside of Indy, is one of the best QBs ever, especially in regular season, but in playoffs his game was notusually  up to his regular season level or opposing QBs play. 

I don't remember him beating Rothlisberger or Rivers in post season and I think only in 2006 AFCCG he bested Brady in playoffs.....I could be wrong? 

Our offense did play great against Denver and KC in playoffs and I remember one game the colts never punted. But against SD, Pitt, NE that usually wasn't the case.

Peyton was more mature

Peyton had a better movement in the pocket

Peyton had a stronger arm (contrary to media opinion)

Peyton had a better football IQ

Peyton’s legacy is the greatest Indianapolis Colt ever and one of the greatest football players ever.  Those of us who got to watch him should cherish that because odds says we’ll never see another like him in our lifetime as a Colt.

If there were a "Mount Rushmore" of NFL QB's - Peyton would be one of those featured - based on his overall legacy - and - NOT because he was or wasn't on Mr Irsay's list.
