As it stands with these 53 individuals......

The average RAS is 8.595

The average age is 25.8 years old

The average experience level is 3.2 years in the league (Led by Ryan at 14, and all of McLeod/Gilmore/Foles at 10 years apiece)

So at least we are young and athletic........lol

Just noticed Chris Reed isn’t even the starting RG in MN. He could of been kept for cheap and been a good starter or depth.

Ed Ingram - RG (2022 2-59)

......Cheap....

Reed > Fries > French

https://www.vikings.com/news/initial-53-man-roster-2022

On the Roster: Christian Darrisaw, Ezra Cleveland, Garrett Bradbury, Ed Ingram, Brian O'Neill, Blake Brandel, Vederian Lowe, Chris Reed, Austin Schlottmann and Olisaemeka Udoh

Darrisaw and O'Neill could become one of the best bookend tandems in the business. Minnesota's coaches have expressed how excited they are to work with those players.

Cleveland is back for his second season in a row at left guard. He and O'Neill played every offensive snap for Minnesota in 2021.

Ingram climbed the depth chart in a battle with Jesse Davis, who was traded to Pittsburgh, at right guard and is projected to start.

O'Connell had mentioned the offensive line depth the Vikings have built. Keeping 10 at the position group for the second time in a seven-season span could be a sign of that.

Brandel, Lowe, Reed, Schlottmann and Udoh round out the group. Reed and Schlottmann were signed this offseason, and Lowe was a sixth-round pick.

I don’t understand the quick love for OJ Howard. Tampa didn’t want him and now another team doesn’t see anything in him to keep him. We have a young guy in Woods that can get experience instead of signing someone not special at all to take those reps. I don’t get it.

Apparently Zach hicks said the colts liked leatherwood in 21. Will see what happens. How much of that salary does a team have to pay him if claimed.

Looks like he is going to be re signing with bills and this was just a procedural move. Hoping that is what we are doing with Kelly too.

No, the exemption to the roster is for two years, definitely not training camp only. No matter what we think about it.

Which makes me wonder why it was worded as a 24 month roster exemption if teams are cutting these European guys

They have to clear same waivers process. Then roster exemption takes place.

Gives them a chance to make another teams 53 if that team so chooses, but can revert back to free practice squad spot after waivers.

Raiders are paying the Leatherwood guy 6.5 mil and still released him, no thanks to that. Red flag central

Wow.  Drafted high in a pretty strong draft class and started on the OL as a rookie.  Must be something going on other than abilities.

Taylor - 225ish

Jackson - 220ish

Hines - 195ish

There is concern over pushing JT into a known pile when his value is big play weapon ability.  Looks like Jackson is the guy, but have never seen him run in those situation.  A 4th RB and in excess of 220 would be nice.

Not sure how he’s graded out but I seem to remember he committed a lot of penalties.

Goodness.  He started at LT for the national champions and was drafted about pick 15.  And he's getting waived for committing penalties while Ballard has been hanging on to Benogu for about 4 years?

Something is amiss with his personal life or character...which defies the profile that I read about during draft time.  I liked him at the time.

Concern from who?   When we had third and short against New England, we sent JT off LG and he ran roughly 70 yards for a touchdown.

We may use Hines up the middle more than most here would like, but we don’t use him all the time.   We use JT on short yardage plenty.

I’m not sure where this “concern” is coming from?

I guess Taylor is chopped liver.

Taylor - 10 elite running (inside, outside), 9 great receiving (RB receiving, 109.2 passer rating)

Hines - 7 good running (good/great outside, meh inside), 8 great receiving (89.1)...... 80s 18, 19, and 21, and 110ish 2020

Probably OT to OT, Jackson > Hines

Outside Hines >>>>> Jackson

Hoping JT 250-275ish attempts.

Not much choice?    Why not Jonathan Taylor?

As was said during last season by many.

Even after an entire offseason of roster build, our primary big play threat is our RB.  No matter who that RB is, that valuable big play threat simply not the guy you want to drive into a known pile up when the HC goes for it on 4th and 1..which is more often than most HCs....unless you want the HC to be cute and throw a shovel pass or run Hines up the gut.

    • Packers fans can tell me about Joe Barry that was their DC from 2021-23. They were always in the Top 12-15 range in terms of points per game as opposed to the Colts.   But the year 2021, the Colts were on par because we ran the ball well and possessed it well. Not so much in 2022, and 2023 was a bit of defensive regression for decent possession of the ball from Bradley’s unit.   Brandon Staley is another name but I’d prefer Jon Barry for his units to generate pressure. Otherwise we’d have to look at college like Packers getting the Boston College HC.   I’m a fan of Jim Leonhard that was a heck of a defensive coach / DC at Wisconsin, and is now a DB coach with Broncos. Dave Merritt, the Chiefs DB coach has done an outstanding job there and was interviewed for DC by 49ers.   My pick would be Jim Leonhard or Dave Merritt.
    • You can’t keep winning only scoring one TD A game. I think they have gotten some what lucky with who they have played. Colds dline beat up so we will see.
    • What I meant is they are not going to come out and just throw 50 times. They are going to try and break your will and run out the clock. It’s  probably going to be a low scoring game. They have only scored 3 offensive TD. I am shocked they str 3-0. They don’t have many offensive weapons. Harris is not really a pass catching back who will break a long run. Now could that change. Off course. But their Oline id beat up. I was reading an article how they tried to open things up and Fields immediately got sacked. He they try to open things up till he revert back to Bears fields.
    • I don’t know enough of the position coaches on other teams to say who is worthy of promotion. Best to keep an eye out on head coaches on the hot seat and their staffs.
    • Sadly also changing my Colts pick.. 😞   Steelers 21 vs Colts 17
