22 different women now have come forward on allegations of sexual harassment/assault/conduct against Deshawn Watson.... 22?!? It’s entirely possible his career just got hit with the pause button. Too much smoke for there not to be a little bit of fire some where in these.

The attorney ADVERTISED for this. All of them are say roughly the same exact thing! Sorry, but just because several say it still doesn't mean a thing. He's not accused of drugging them and raping them, he's accused of asking for a happy ending. My point it, they didn't call the policy, file a complaint, contact the Texans or do anything until an attorney offered a money train.. At this point I'd insist on those women taking a poly along with Watson..

I mean its definitely a touchy subject. Yes they hadn't gone to police, but the acts committed weren't in the same level as a Bill Cosby. Obviously the courts will decide. One can say that the lawyer is advertising and adding incentives to file a suit; but one could also say the more people who come forward, the guiltier Watson will look.

Is it illegal to ask for a 'happy ending'?

I don't care if he did, or didn't, with dozens or hundreds or thousands of women, and in the context of another NFL player, whose 3 year old son, with a broken arm, told his mother that 'daddy did it'.

Great point. The NFL sure looks like a bunch of pandering * at time.

I think a poly should always be involved, but sadly, most courts won’t take the results. Mostly because of older data showing polys were widely variable. Modern ones, not as much variation but the courts remain reluctant to admit them.

Yeah, I’m not saying he did all he’s been accused of, it’s just a situation worth monitoring because it will in a round about way, have the potential to impact not only Watsons season, but the seasons of the other AFC south teams. Texans aren’t half the threat without Watson that they’d otherwise be.

Meh anymore, gotta walk a tightrope with things like this. Lots of factors. I’m sure they’re gathering information too.

Why do people think a poly means anything. They are easy to beat, and reason they dont get used. if you can keep calm you can pass easily.  It is all based on pulse and other things like that that you can control

That’s not entirely true. The older ones yes, they’ve gotten a lot more advanced and look at new things that are much harder to consciously control. But there’s still a margin of variance there.

And are not used in court, " Because the results of a polygraph test can mean many things and are so unreliable in detecting actual lies, they do not rise to the level of reliability required for scientific evidence in a courtroom and polygraph test results are usually inadmissible as evidence."

Correct. That’s what I said above

See their attorney again makes it sound like just a money grab when he said “we wanted to settle this quietly without anyone ever knowing” but then before. He said that he said it wasn’t about the money? Well then huh?

they deserve their day in court but I do hate the woman’s attorney, he seems be an attention seeking, ambulance chasing type attorney.

I still have my doubts Watson did anything real bad, not near Cosby like. Having said that once many accuse someone of something like this, their reputation is tarnished in the public eye which stinks. Even if he comes out of this looking innocent for the most part.

Yep that is definitely the case. Which is why I prefer things to be kept quiet until the courts/investigations run their course. This never should have been published until the facts were all gathered. I blame the lawyer for that mostly

Just turn off the channels you don't want to hear, and their youtube ratings will drop.

Even before the allegations, weren't we all tired of the Total Watson news?

He wasn't even a top 5 NFL QB....not even top 10.

The media just put him there, for their own purposes.

I'm done with Watson, and want more news on TRUBISKY!

The ORIGINAL 1st lawsuit stated that the alleged incident happened at the masseuses' house. Okay, for those who don't know this here we go.

1) all across the country are traveling massage therapists and those who massage clients out of their home if they do not have access to renting areas in professional buildings or subcontracting from massage companies or their own massage company.

2) all across the country there are escort listing where girls, in this example, offer massage services *wink, wink*

In regards to number 2 there is a catch. If the escort's advertisement comes with a GFE(Girlfriend Experience) or a PSE(Porn Star Experience), it means that these girls do more than massages for money. If those 3 letters are not within the escort advertising normally they do not. What I'm getting at here is if these girls/women were all of the "escort" ad variety and not just normal traveling masseuses and if they advertised those letters I listed above, Watson's lawyers can have these lawsuits chucked quicker than a breeze goes by. That will be a huge part of the story moving forward.

If he has blindly assumed that ALL massage therapists or those who offer massages from the escort side are bribable or if he felt that all massages listed on escorts sites came with happy endings he is a total dumb butt and this is going to be a costly learning experience for him...

Time will tell as more comes out... **Pardon the Pun :sip:

I guess the point is, at what point does the accused have rights? I know we're :innocent until proven guilty", but we all know that's not really true. In the public eye you're guilty when accused, and if the subject is political enough the prosecutor will do whatever they have to do to convict, regardless of the quality of evidence.

In this case they said it happened, but didn't call the police, didn't file a complaint with the Texans, they went to a trial lawyer who asked for 6 figures to keep quite.

    • You know who is also kicking better?   Chase McLaughlin.
    • Not trying to over simplify but it is pretty simple. SS calls plays that he believes will work against a certain defense and he has confidence his players will execute that play. The results right now are that his players are NOT capable of executing those plays on a consistent basis enough to win games. The only question moving forward is, do we have good enough players to start to execute more consistently or not and is SS making it as easy as possible for players to be consistent. It's not just a talent thing. It's a attitude and smart thing and then the level of talent. Most of the time, the best players are the smartest players with the right attitude. How talented they are is a bonus. My point, i question our teams attitude and football intelligence as much as I question their talent. Ex.....Stopping the run is as much attitude as it is talent. A big part of why JT is JT, is because of his intellegence.
    • Thanks for the updates.  I made my "first pass" projected picks based on where the players are ranked on tankathon right now.  Obviously, subject to change!
    • He hasn't  been that good other than the 1 game he won last year.
    • The biggest problem is that the rest of the team is playing like trash around the rookie QB.    Of course the essentially rookie QB that has played 6 NFL games is going to be a rollercoaster.  He's known to have accuracy issues, and is for some reason being forced to be a pocket passer.    When the highest paid O-line in the league can't block, that's problem.  When the WR's can't catch passes that bounce off their hands, that's a problem.  When the highly invested in $$ D-Line (like 5 1st or 2nd rd players) can't block and LB's get consistenly washed, that's a problem.  When the highest paid kicker in the league can't kick and gets hurt constantly, that's a problem.  When the defensive scheme is to "bend not break" but the bends are to the tune of 100 yards a series, that's a problem.   Now's the time to strike in other areas while you have a QB on a rookie contract. Actually, this all should've been figured out already by the GM and all positions should've been rock solid by now.
