Raiders Concerned Martavis Bryant Could Be Suspended by NFL

This was a big topic on Ross Tucker's show on NFL Radio this AM.  Specifically about how foolish it was to give up a top 80 pick for a guy 1) in the last year of his contract and 2) with his history of questionable decision making.

I thought it was crazy as well.  Guy was 1 inch away from any little mistake getting him suspended.

"Specifics remain elusive, but Gehlken noted the fear is that Bryant either failed a drug test or missed one."

In the eyes of the NFL, a missed test is a positive test.

You don't miss a test, you avoid a test, mostly because you will likely test positive.

These guys caught with Substances of Abuse. Are we to believe they were all alone doing this? I wonder how many teammates were with these guys at the time  (Irving, Bryant, Stephnenson, etc...) but didn't get selected to be tested...

This wasn't the best WR class by any means, but there were a lot of excellent 2nd tier WR's in the draft that the Raiders could of gotten with that 3rd round pick instead of Bryant. They could of gotten the heir apparent to Jordy Nelson when he leaves and a solid no3 starter right away on that team that was 22 years old. They had already taken too many risks in the draft with Key, Hurst, and reaches on both Tackles early on. This is not a good start for Jon Gruden.

I will never understand why 5 mins is worth millions to some people.

Probably hanging around the wrong crowd still and the negative influences are getting the best of him. Just assuming.
