The Alex Marvel tweet is somewhat wrong.

 

Hostler is our TE coach,  NOT our WR coach.

 

That spot belongs to Sanjay Lal.     And he might be one of the coachees that is kept.

Correct. That is why I posted our TE Coach leaving. Not our WR coach.

I'm gonna ASSUME that Ballard has told these coaches (not sure which ones specifically) that they are free to look elsewhere for work.

 

A roundabout way of letting them go essentially.

It definitely sounds like they weren't given any assurances at all so they're bailing. 

 

I can understand both parties doing what's best for them.

 

But in reality I don't think these coaches leaving hurts us at all. Nobody stood out this year, maybe the ST coach whoever he is??

Green Bay isn't exactly firing on all cylinders lately.  Im thinking they rely on Their QB too much ...like another team I know.......that wears blue....and has the 3rd pick in the draft.

Exactly.  They are under contract but free to look.  If they get hired we probably agreed and didn't block them.  Once a new coach is hired he will make the decisions on the rest.  I hope Ballard blocks Sanjai Lai until the new coach makes a decision.

Most of the time when the head coach is fired the rest of the staff ends up let go as well once a new coach is hired because they want to bring in their own staff.  Not shocking to see guys jumping if they get job offers now.

Tom McMahon is our ST coach & he’s definitely a keeper.  Better rated ST unit than some guy people want to hire as our HC named Toub...  I say we keep McMahon & let KC keep Toub.
