None

Wrong. Ricky Wagner (RT) left the practice midway through, they don't have T.J. Lang and already lost Taylor Decker for the season. And this is just their oline.

Injuries happen all over the NFL. There is no way we get out of TC without any. Let's just cross fingers and pray we'll come out better than last year...

I really don't look too much into today. Even if the Colts did great today, we still have work to do.

oh i know.  Just saying, the D had been getting great reviews all week, this brings them back to earth

It's a lot easier to defend looks you've seen all week. Whole nother ball game when it's unfamiliar

Sunday is gonna be interesting

Was a good C in college. He got picked up quick after we let him go. Hopefully Schwenke comes back soon.

Schwenke is better, but that doesn't matter if he can't play.

Kelly has a month to heal up.  Let's hope they're both available September 10th.

Nick Mangold still out there? He's old as dirt but we currently have no center.

No center?  It is still over a month away from a regular season game no need to hit the panic button. Till we hear a little more info on Kelly lets just not lose our minds just yet. haha

Ballard can't control injuries so blaming him for them is asinine, as well as minor accusations of moves made prior to injuries where we would currently have more depth.

Lets all just remember what he did for our defense, totally revamping it, replacing slow old players like Walden and Jackson. We have players for the future. Jacksonville has been adding pieces for a few years now, and will have a top 5 defense this year, so if we have to wait a few years to get to a super bowl, I can wait.

Lets just have patience for the injured players, and remember, it's still 1 full month until the regular season starts, when the games will really matter. Things will still be changing throughout the month

As Joel Embid once said,

"Trust the process"

Im not just talking about the regular season. Someone needs to take snaps in practice too. Currently, Bond an UDFA is the only true center with Schwenke on PUP.

Do you know this for fact or speculating?

Sounds like the defense still needs work, that was to be expected. The offense being somewhat lousy has to be on poor QB play?

As far as Lions injuries (all that I can find)-

Rick Wagner left practice, not aware of any other injuries for them occuring at practice, but-

Eric Ebron, T.J. Lang (recovering from hip surgery and they are being cautious), Cornelius Lucas, Jordan Hill, Mike James, Nick Bellore and Rolan Milligan all sat out of practice.  Taylor Decker was lost to Shoulder surgery (like Luck)  in June and he's likely out until the October/November time frame, at least, IMO.

So the Lions offensive line (3 of 5 starters out) looks somewhat shaky at the present, especially for Sundays game.

OTOH, their D pretty much owned Tolzien, and Stephen Morris is getting less snaps these days while Phillip Walker is getting more and more.  I so despise our backup QB situation right now, and really want it properly addressed for 2018... quite possibly the second most important position on the team, and HOF GM Bill Polian even lost his job not having a decent backup to P. Manning, after Jim Sorgi departed...

Colts / Lions practice takeaways, from the Lions perspective:

• Matthew Stafford was his usual sharp self, and the difference in zip on his passes compared to Tolzein's is quite noticeable. But Jake Rudock had maybe the throw of the day for the Lions Thursday when he threaded a deep pass to Jace Billingsley down the sideline in a two-minute drill.

• Drops were an issue for the Lions in Thursday's joint practice. Running back Dwayne Washington dropped two passes that I saw, and Golden Tate, Kenny Golladay, TJ Jones, Dontez Ford and Khari Lee also had drops. Most of those drops came on imperfect throws.

• Darius Slay up top, had two nice interceptions Thursday, matching his total from last season. Slay made a nice toe-tap on the sideline on his first pick, and caught a pass that deflected off a Colts receiver's hands on the first snap of red zone drills for his second. (Caldwell is stressing turnovers/takeaways this year)

• Jarrad Davis, the Lions' first-round pick, made a really nice diagnosis on a shovel pass to Robert Turbin in red-zone drills. The Colts ran a play-action fake with much of the offense flowing to the right on the play, but Davis stayed home and met Turbin in the hole right as he caught the pass from Tolzein.

• Robinson didn't let any of his rushers (primarily Jabaal Sheard and John Simon) get near his quarterback when Stafford was throwing short passes early. Robinson wasn't nearly as strong in one-on-one pass-rush drills as Sheard beat him inside in their first rep Akeem Ayers got him off balance on his second. Robinson looked too strong for Sheard in the run game, though he did whiff on Sheard once on what would have been a tackle-for-loss on Zach Zenner.

It seems Tolzien is no better in the Red Zone so far this year, just like vs. the Steelers last year.  :-(

It looks like we have a lot of work to do in every facet.
