bananabucket
Well I'd think your first pick is the most important one to get right. I would take the better talent in the first and let the cards fall how they fall for the second round.

WarGhost21
I was looking long and hard at John Ross, but I feel I can find another speedster to compliment Mike Evans later. So I'm going a route most of you haven't thought of before. With the 19th pick in the draft, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers select Obi Melifonwu, SS, UConn Melifonwu is shooting up draft boards as the latest size-speed freak. At 6-5, 218lbs, Melifonwu is more than an athletic freak. He is a mauler in the run game and is decent in pass coverage as well. With the safety position the only glaring need on the Tampa Bay defense, Melifonwu fixes part of it (the rest will come later).

I saw you wanted Solomon Thomas. If you liked him, watch Caleb Brantley (who I selected for the Raiders). I only watched one game (vs. FSU), but he was more disruptive as a 1 or 3 tech in that game than Thomas was as a 3 or 5 tech against Colorado, and FSU has more pro prospects along their offensive line. That said, it was obvious that the Buffaloes were scheming Thomas out of the game, he was double teamed just about every play with the RB as secondary support on several passing downs. In any event, I would not at all be surprised to see Brantley climb into the top 15 based on some of the pass rushers I've seen so far. He's an interior guy, but I was actually thoroughly impressed with Brantley and I find myself wondering why Solomon is rated so high but Brantley isn't (or perhaps vice versa). I need to watch more games of both guys, but at this moment in time, I am starting to prefer Brantley. While both guys lack preferred size, they both have relentless motors. Even their scouting reports bear out several similarities - they both can play too high at times, they have an above average arsenal of pass rush moves, they have active hands both need to put mass in their legs, but their upper body strength is top notch (Brantley's is elite in my opinion), they won't be elite run stuffers, but they can still disrupt plays in the backfield. Anyway, unless Brantley has a poor combine or I see something from some other guys rated above him, I'd put rank him higher than where he was drafted. It was the most solid pick at this point. No WR or RB scored out this high. They had the top defense in the the league. QB is a need but I am sure they will go free agency if they want one and just see how Osweiler does.
