It will be interesting to see if Bird just does a total rebuild around Turner this summer. If we look bad in the Playoffs, it could happen. There will still be teams that offer us a bunch for PG. Having said that I still think Bird doesn't trade him, I have said that since all of this talk started. I think Bird tries to add another piece this summer to help PG and Turner out is my guess.

I do, too////

Next year..Myles will be 22 and PG 27...right...

...That's a young core......you dont trade for picks who will probably be younger and probably worse than Turner and George.

..and Paul insisting an a trade to the Lakers when they are the 14th seed (they dropped a spot since last week) in the brutal Western Conference where he would make less money......and have far les chance to win a title.........just so he can play at home?

I cannot make sense of that. Seems crazy to me.

On ESPN 1000 in Chicago there are 2 guys who covered the Bulls daily for years.

Covered John Paxson when he played and know him well.

One of them said Friday that Boston called up  the Pacers and the Bulls the same deal...

Crowder, Bradley and 2 No. 1 picks including the Nets pick ...for Jimmy Butler or Paul George.

First one to say yes gets the package.

But Boston wanted the Nets pick (protected) which I assume means ..if it was the No.1 overall pick or 1-2-3, it would revert to Boston.

With that stipulation, no deal was ever close.

Don't know if that's true....don't know if Paxson was the source.

.Cant believe every thing (or most anything) you hear in rumor.........but that's what was ESPN 1000 said...

again.....for what its worth.

Glad to see the Pacers win last night. It was very much needed with the losing streak and the PG talk. We will make the Playoffs but probably wont do much once there. Lets not kid ourselves though as in the big picture of things the Warriors are going to spank everyone including the Cavs. Cavs will come out of the East but have a less of a chance of beating the Warriors this season than last. Cavs had their 1 year miracle, got a Title for Cleveland but to think they will beat the Warriors 2 years in a row is a stretch. Warriors will have HCA again and they now have Durant to go with the other 3. LeBron is only 3-4 in Finals play as well. He dominates a weak Eastern Conference but against the West his teams are below .500 in the Finals. My money is on the Warriors, LeBron just doesn't have that unbeatable invincible factor that Michael Jordan had being 6-0 in Finals. Jordan is the GOAT and it's not even debatable and Magic ruled the 80's when rough Basketball was allowed with 5 Championships. The stuff Draymond Green is doing now, players in the 80's would laugh it off. This generation of players are way too pampered.

PG is from LA so I can see him leaving for the Lakers but nobody else. Magic is in the office now, it isn't Jim silly Buss anymore haha

Who is everyone's MVP so far? Mine is Russell Westbrook, he is a Triple Double machine and OKC will easily make the Playoffs. He doesn't have the Help James Harden or LeBron James has. Anyone from the Warriors cant really be considered either because they have an All-Star team so Durant and Curry are out of the discussion IMO. LeBron is the best player in todays game and a Top 10 player of all-time but Westbrook deserves the 2017 MVP.

Westbrook or Harden should get it IMO.

Its not wrong to suggest LeBron .....and he's playing very well.

Harden's team is winning big....and I wouldn't have predicted that

...but if its not Westbrook I'd have to see what the voters think MVP means.

The Jim Buss..Jeanne Buss thing......did you read that he wasn't even speaking to her the last couple of months.

Now if I was the GM and we were losing that badly, maybe I'd hide, too.

...But he just didnt know what to do..

...The contract to Mosgov ..the length of it...that going to be an issue

.....and those draft choices..other than Clarkson,....I'm not certain about any of them.

I hear media saying that Magic hasn't done the job of 'President of Basketball Operations anywhere before but he's been a player, a head coach and part owner of the Lakers.

His business experience is so solid...and he's got connections in LA that free agents will appreciate.

If I wasnt old ..and could actually play...I'd want to play for the magic man

Deron Williams will sign with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, league sources tell @TheVertical.

I think the Cavs getting Korver was huge, that helps LeBron out a bunch, Williams was awesome 5 years ago but now, ?. I still cant see how they beat the Warriors. I said last season but lets be honest, Cavs won by their skin of their teeth and the Warriors didn't have Durant as an addition. No way would I bet against the Warriors with HCA again.

LeBron has to beat them 2 years in a row for me to buy into he is like Jordan or Magic. People can call it hate all they want but it's not, it's reality. He isn't the GOAT for the same reason Peyton isn't and Tom is, too many losses in the big game. I have LeBron in my Top 10 ever but he isn't Top 5 by any means. He damn sure shouldn't be ranked over Jordan, Magic, and players like Jabbar, Wilt, Shaq, and Kobe - JMO's. He is a GREAT player but just Top 10 material. Like I have Peyton in my Top 5 QB's but he isn't the GOAT - Tom is, at least I can admit as such. I just cant have a serious conversation with someone who thinks LeBron is the GOAT, opinion or not because he doesn't even come close to matching Jordan in anything of importance.

We can hope he does but theres no guarantee he will. NBA stars aren't as loyal as they used to be.

I'll give you that.

To me, playing basketball for Larry Bird in the state of Indiana and being the team leader..for a fan base that thinks highly of me........that's the ultimate....but Paul may not think that way

Carmelo did turn down the Bulls to stay with the Knicks a couple of years ago...

..Bulls had the better team but he didnt want to leave NYC

Durant did leave a fan base that loved him in OKC.....when his team was 1 game away from the finals..

Some moves are surprising...

...but once we make that deal for Jimmy Butler!  PG will know we'll be headed for the finals!!

I think nationally...many say PG...In Chicago....most all seem to say its Jimmy

Its close

PG is, not even being a homer when I say that but he has taken his teams to 2 Conference Finals and has always been Very Good and sometimes Great in the Playoffs. Butler is Very Good though.

PG knows he has to be out here to help this team. We need every win we can get. I don't see how we get enough offense to pull this off.

Miami might end up making the playoffs. They don't even have Winslow playing right now. They play really tough on defense and the boards.

I dont now about Miami

..but you're right...we don't have enough offense without Paul.

WE barely have enough most nights WITH him.

PG cant let that happen..bad call....so what..?  Keep playing.

Everyone does but your the only shallow one that thinks it's already been signed and the ink is dry

Are you sure you do?  Sounds like you're tired of him....

Sometimes fans want new players..even if it hurts the team.

I'm looking at what we are without George and its not pretty.

He's signed...and I'm sure he's going to take the better, longer offer and stay.

When you look at all the details of staying vs. leaving..

it just makes sense he's staying. But, again, I'm not tired of him

9 points and 10 points in consecutive games from your superstar does not cut it. It just doesn't. Stop crying and keep playing. The refs are not going to give you superstar calls when you only drive a few times a game. If you wanna shoot jump shots like Kobe you better start looking at his tape.

Also we have to shoot more 3's. No more avoiding it. This is how the game is going now. 4 made 3s will not work most nights. Either get Glenn and Miles more opportunities or someone else just needs to see if they can get one to fall and build momentum.

I'll go half way with you. the first paragraph..

The second part is the tough one. We don't want guys who cant make 3s (Stuckey and Monta) shooting them.

What really hurts us is that we don't have that wing player.....who is a 3-specialist.

That's why I'm saying I dont tknow why Aaron Brooks does not play more.

He can miss 10 in a row but he van then make 5 in a row.

Glenn has his moments....but he still doesn't look confident.

But yeah.......I see Miami shooting 30 3s a night....Cavs....Washington....firing bombs....

Out best 3-ball shooter is probably our GM

I don't see how we beat the Rockets or the Spurs so the skid may continue. After those two games the schedule lightens a little bit but not much as we play teams like the Hawks, Bucks, Hornets, and the Heat again.

But this is what happens when you don't take advantage of the easy schedule at the start of the season. I mean we haven't even played Toronto yet and I know we play them at least 3 times this year.
