No thanks. I don't even want to start to explain why so I'll limit it down to the biggest one.

Don't mortgage your future for a couple of rookies.

Also, Every other player in this draft won't be available at the pick you have them slotted, atleast a round higher in EVERY case.

And, why not just keep 29 and not make a trade with the pats. Just make the trade Next years 1st, this years 2nd, 3rd, next years 4th. That makes it a lot less complicated.

Goodness,  the trades will never happen.

Henry Anderson is likely not falling to the 4th round much less to the bottom of the 4th where we pick.

Wayne Lyons has transferred from Stanford to Michigan.    Were you thinking of Alex Carter?    If so, he's not lasting to the 6th round.

And Karlos Williams is likely a 4th of 5th rounder,  but not a 7th.

Buddy, Jake Ryan is a mid 4th round prospect not a 5th.

Lyden Trail is also a mid 4th rounder, not a 6th.

Lefield is a 5th round prospect, not a 6th

Williams is a 5th round prospect. Not the bottom of the 7th.

its funny how everyone complains about improving our run defense yet you dont want to pay the price to do it

Maybe because your price is ridiculous and unrealistic. Just make a normal mock and put a DE, NT in the mix. Don't need to give up so many picks to move up then continue to try to 'justify' the trades by taking major stretches in the late rounds.

Trail and Williams are way to talented to go that late.

Every mock I've seen Trail is a mid 4th. And from the tape and clips I've watched he's a late 3rd-mid 4th. Not a 6th rounder.

As for Williams, I used to have him in some of my Mocks in the 7th, but took him off hen it became unrealistic, right after the combine. Williams is very talented, talented players will fall. The pick you slotted him in is almost Mr. Irreverent. I've seen him climbing mocks sneaking into the 5th. He certianly is too talented (even with the off the field issues) to be the 255th player taken.

ive hear analyst say williams will go undrafted. anyway I believe collins and goldman will propel our run defense.

I think if we were to pay a High price to improve our Run D, it would have been better to doit through FA. There were plenty proven DLineman we could have signed, it would have cost us only $$, not top multiple draft picks this year & next.

well unforunately FA is over so what do you suggest we do to stop the pats from running 200 yards on us

The Colts cannot trade draft picks any longer. They need to nail the draft this year and every year thereafter. As their young star players hit their first big paychecks, it will be critical to have younger, cheaper talent picked up via the draft to fill in and grow over time. Otherwise this team's window will be far shorter than anyone imagines.

So.....no to any draft pick trades unless it is trading down to pick up an extra high pick in rounds 1-3.

Not my favorite but I'd at least be pretty happy if we landed Landon Collins, coming back into the 1st for Goldman wouldn't go over well for a lot of Colts fans...especially giving the Pats the keys to our future picks.

I've learned to scan through and ignore posts that say dumb things like "From all the mocks I've seen, there is no way John Doe lasts till that round" or "John Doe is a 3rd rounder, not a 4th"

If you've mastered the NFL Draft like that, you should definitely be doing something besides sitting on a computer and complaining about someones mock draft. If Henry Anderson falls to the 4th round on CRs big board then he falls to the 4th. It's just some text on a computer screen, he didn't ruin the future of the Colts with his big board.

I remember last year we all expected guys like Shayne Skov, Yawin Smallwood,  Loucheiz Purifoy, Dion Bailey, Craig Loston. Christian Jones to go in the early to mid rounds...Only Smallwood was drafted in the 7th round. Everyone else went UDFA. No one knows what will happen on draft day, CR's mock might be right on the money or not a single pick will hit. We do this because we enjoy it, don't bash people because that's not how you see it play out.

Thanks for your bold mock draft CR, I appreciate it.

    • Oh contrare, I’d say it says more about Shane Steichen’s skill set as a coach.
    • Excerpt from an article at NFL.com …     ”… One player the Colts can lean on while Richardson gets his sea legs: running back Jonathan Taylor. After last year's hold-in and injury issues, the star running back looks back to his old self. JT bursts through the line like a Mustang on fire, leaving linebackers in his wake. On Sunday, Taylor totaled 12 carries for 103 yards and +55 rushing yards over expected, his most RYOE in a game since Week 15 of 2021. He also forced five missed tackles across 14 touches.    Shane Steichen's decision to bench the star back during the entire fourth quarter because the Colts were in pass mode belies credibility. Even if Taylor isn't a prolific pass catcher out of the backfield, sitting your best offensive weapon for an entire quarter is folly -- hopefully one Steichen doesn't repeat. If defenses are going to sit back to slow Richardson's deep attack, Taylor should gobble up chunk gains.    At this point, Taylor is the most consistent thing going for Indy. The 25-year-old back owns a game-changing gear and can shoulder a massive load. His presence and production should help settle Richardson down during the roller-coaster dips. Taylor hasn't looked fully healthy in a couple of years. He did this past Sunday. The Colts need to ride that stallion.”     The above referenced article kind of echoes my feelings on the matter.
    • Exactly I am confused with that comment by Shane unless that one drop deserved him to be benched. Again coaches know what's the best.
    • I'm not sure why the team thinks JT can't be effective in the passing game.
