The division will be decided in Indy December, 14 when Houston comes to town. I think the season sets up for it to play out that way. It will go down to the last week of the season but the team that wins that game in Indy will be the division winner.

Do we have what it takes to win? Houston has one of the best running games in the NFL and a top pass defense due to their pass rush. On paper, it doesn't look good for us.

Watt is sooooo much more than a pass rusher. Man, if I could pick one player in the league it would be Watt.

I think we have more then what it takes, TY single handedly destroys the Texans his self. i dont see us losing to them. I think we best them two games this season.

Ya I am. We looked terrible the last 2 of 3 weeks. We have no run game. We cant stop the run. We got up early on Houston the first time and barely held on to win. All it will take is Houston making a few plays against us with their pass rush and pound the ball and we are is serious trouble.

Like the last time they beat the Colts in Indy? Oh wait that has never happened!

Relax, take a deep breathe. There feel better? It's not happening in Indy on December 14th.

Guess you forgot we still have a QB named Andrew Luck. I like our odds with him under center.

I like our odds too but if Luck is on his back and we cant stop the run we are in trouble. We have Cleveland, Houston and Dallas that are going to tough match ups. Houston has Jax twice and Tennessee along with us and Cinci and Balt. I'd say they are looking at the game in INDY with huge potential.

Here's a couple stats for you!  When I watch the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium they have been 3-0.  **I already have my ticket for that game**  Also Texans havent ever beat the Colts in LOS ( I dont think they have anyway)  **I don't see it happening this season**  So it's pretty safe to say, we will win the division!!

However there is a first time for everything...

Leave it to us to make their new QB look like a pro-bowler, ugh.  Not going to say that is going to happen but man, anything related to Brady just seems to sting us hard.  I'm fearful of their defense and of course, their #1 draft pick will be healthy for our game (just our luck) :(

I hope we smoke them and it's not even close.

Hasn't happened yet yes.... but don't think or get too confident that it never will or it won't just based off the past. Texans are playing people tough this Season and anything can happen.

Why is it such a sin to credit the Texans on this board? They are the same team that was in the playoffs just a few years back. Their only issue is their qb. DeAndre Hopkins has been awesome this year, and Watt is Watt. If we can put pressure on Mallet and stop the run, I'll be comfortable, but let's not pretend that it's a possibility. They did just beat the Browns who are playoff contenders. They gave the Cowboys hell, and their biggest loss was only by 13 points.... Sometimes all it takes is a change to make things happen. BOB paid attention to the Pats game. I guarantee you that they will come to LOS ready to play.

You might be right.  If Ryan Mallet can play, then they are a threat.  Ryan Fitzpatrick couldn't finish drives or games.  The RBs make them really dangerous.  And - we had some trouble with the DL.  We can't assume the TY will continue to roll them.  I think its a bad sign if our season comes down to that game.

    • I'm not saying he is about to be a sack machine but you can see some of his potential as a one gap penetrator with that frame.
    • Davis came from Alabama. My point of interest as the writer highlighted is he is moving from being a 2 gapper into now only being responsible for a single gap with a lot more penetration from him versus read and react. With his length and power at 6ft 7 300 plus the expectation for him in our scheme is he will be more disruptive. A much more reliable option for us if Grover goes down in addition to whatever else maybe we can do with him.
    • Thank you. You guys are too kind, but I truly appreciate the support.    Perhaps I am being too hard on myself… But my point still stands that anyone who makes it to the NFL, whether practice squad or starter, has achieved something prestigious that only a rare few ever achieve.    Over a million high schoolers play. Of those only 7.8 percent move on to play in college.    Over 80,000 people play in college. Only 0.4 percent make it to opening day in the NFL.    Only 2,016 players make it to NFL rosters.
    • Davis had a very good rookie season after being drafted in the 2nd round out of Ohio State (I believe).   Graded in the 70’s against both the run and pass.      But his last three years have been disappointing, as he’s graded in the mid-50’s.   The reason I’m so interested in this signing, is (A) I’m sure it was heavily influenced by the new DL coach, Partridge.   And (B) we’re paying him 2/14.  I don’t recall that kind of money ever being given to a basic backup before.   Don’t think Davis is here to push Stewart, the Colts just signed him to 3/39.  That tells me the Colts defensive staff sees him differently.   I don’t know what the plan the staff has come up with for Davis, but I’m looking forward to watching it play out.
