Offical Trent Richardson discussion/thoughts/opinions thread.

agreed, i have said this since people started saying tr was a better blocker than brown. to be honest, the qb has to realize this and get rid of the ball with the extra second it takes to run brown over. you can't expect a small back to completely stop a db or lb.

small backs do it all the time.  brown is plenty big enough

brown misses blitzes also. But the big difference is Trent can stone wall his guy where Brown gets bulldozed.

Trent had been the better blocker. What sucks was Trent was starting to look real good. Then he got Luck killed. Was like darn it Trent! 2 steps forward. One step back. Guess you'll have that with younger players also. Learn from it and move on.

Here is something to make the masses go wild.

Rushing yards 2013

Luck: 336

Trich: 326

That's funny and pathetic at the same time.

Is a complex playbook to blame? http://www.thescore.com/nfl/news/402720

The article mentions how Fleener was asked about it and said something to the effect of Pep's playbook is large and detailed and it takes a while to learn it all. Trent didn't have training camp and had to go through 3 playbooks in just over 2 seasons: Shurmur, Chudzi, and Pep. Then he also has to learn protections and different calls and all that, so it could be a lot to handle. Is there any legitimacy to this claim?
