Pryor is NFL’s leading rusher

Terrelle Pryor, with 112 rushing yards, is currently the NFL’s leading rusher.

I think we need to see this game for what it was; a week one anomaly coming off of a new offseason format.

I work with the abnormal every day. If everything always went smooth then I wouldn't be needed. It is why I don't freak out every time something does not go tho plan. I expect things not to go as planned. If everything always went smooth for the Colts then Irsay could hire the players and he would not need a front office.

Nothing about Pryor's abilities and his play is normal. He is not exactly like the other mobile quarterbacks we will face this season. Vick and RGIII even looked slow last night compared to how fast Pryor was moving around Sunday.

On the bright side, we held the NFL's leading rusher to under 120 yards.

Somewhere MJD is saying, "Ya....I took em for 375".

Sorry, I shouldn't have brought that back up. :hide:

In all seriousness, the rest of the league's defenses that play the Raiders this season are thanking the stars for us giving them game film on what TP brings to the table

This reminds me when the Wildcat was introduced by Miami.

On the bright side, we we took it better than New England did when they got smacked around by the Dolphins.

We won! :)

To REALLY remind everyone of the brutal gashing, it was MJD with 166 yds, Fred Taylor at 131, and Alvin Pearlman came in for the cramping duo to net 71 of his own.  I don't know where the other 7 came from.  I LOL now, but remember a radio announcer saying the only thing stopping the Jags running game that day was the End Zone.  Fortunately, we were lights out versus the run in the playoff run to the Super Bowl. :)

    • Strongest Groups 1. OL 2. DL 3. WR   Weakest Groups 1. CB 2. S 3.LB     Slight difference from your groups but when  I analyzed the weakness the back end of our D is scary starting at LBer back.
    • Eagles sometimes seem like they are flying by the seat of their pants.    They don't truly gauge team chemistry and fit completely because they hedge their bets on a few marquee free agents they sign for 2 years typically tops, hoping they will fit. As far as their core, they got Hurts, Brown and DeVonta Smith plus Goedert and their OL/DL. The RB positions and secondary, they dabble a lot in free agency. Hey, if you can fit it into the cap and make it work, that is great but they need that 1 SB to show for it, like the Rams did. They have actually had far more swings in FA over several more years than the Rams.   Texans are just new to that FA party.
    • Some people just don't get it. In most cases, with today's ridiculous salaries, once most of these free agents get that big guarateed contract, they lose their edge and desire. Money is their motivation, once they get it,in most cases, the motivation disappears.
    • Yeah, I think we over performed considering the talent at QB and the defense.  Which is a credit to the coaching staff.   Woods never really played and he's a difference maker at TE, very hard to cover.  They really didn't utilize Pierce to his full advantage, mainly due to Minshew's arm.  MPJ is a solid WR, but I wouldn't consider him a playmaker.  But I do consider him a first down maker.   The D was bad.  Even though they set a record for sacks, the QB pressure was noticeably poor.  Safety was a glaring weakness late in the season.  Cost us the Texans game.  In retrospect, it may have been a good thing though.  Latu is going to shake things up.   Still, Ballard has to address FS.  I know there's time and guys available.  I hope it gets done.  I think it's the only really bad position on the team.  I could live with the CBs.
