Jets & Rams make OT for OT trade....

.... a swap of two disappointing tackles. But for the Rams, this is much more so.

They trade Jason Smith, a former 2nd overall pick in the draft to the Jets for New York's castoff, Wayne Hunter who just got demoted from starter to back-up.

How the mighty have fallen....

Wow, Smith isn't great, but he's definitely a better RT than Hunter is...

I believe that this is called a 'change of scenery' trade. Hunter was ridiculed into oblivion this preseason, and Smith was 'abused' by Jerry Hughes. May be fresh ir for both to breathe IMO.

Wow, that's a pretty big trade.

Jason Smith ins't a horrible right tackle, I don't know why they traded him. Hunter is passed his prime, don't know why they wanted him.

They probably wanted to get him off their books considering your adjective to describe him is he is not a horrible right tackle. The guy got drafted prior to the new CBA so his contract for the 2nd overall pick was horrible and now you compare that to his production and I can see why they just wanted him off the books.
