Darius butler likely to test the market per holder

I like Butler and would much rather have him back than lose him, but he's definitely replaceable.

I like Butler a lot and I don't think we can afford to lose him. Josh Gordy should never, under any circumstances be an option to cover someone.

I would agree Butler's not good on the outside, but who is better in the slot than Butler that's available?

We should not let D Butler go, he's pretty underrated. Sure he had a slow year last season but look at the previous 2 years. 2012 he had 4 interceptions, 2 which he ran in for TDs. 2013 he had 4 interceptions and 1 ran back for a TD. I would not let him go, would be stupid on our part.

We could draft a CB to replace him.  And maybe when that CB gets his feet wet a little bit he might be able to replace Toler.

 

He will be missed but not a huge loss IMO.

DB is NOT an area of weakness..  ...       Butler has been VERY VALUABLE to the team in his role HERE.    

 

Butler was a throw away in NE as a cover corner.     He has found a home in Indy and I think both sides will make it work.

 

Butler is really good in the slot without a GREAT pass rush..       as are Vontae and Toler.   Get these guys some help in the DL and it is on.       Don't be surprised to see C Williams brought in also.

 

Pass rush happens and all of a sudden everyone looks SPECTACUALR.

I like Butler and would like him back at the right price but I don't think the Colts can't replace him if need be. It might not be a bad idea to get younger at the CB poistion thinking long term.
