My prediction: people will complain whoever is signed as QB.  Some just have to be negative no matter what.

I know, we could trade for Carr, sign Armstead and Robinson and there will be some on here saying Carr isn't worth it, Armstead is injury prone eventhough technically he is arguably the best LT in football, and Robinson is too expensive but yet the only good WR we have is Pittman. Yet we missed the playoffs last year so some are content with that lmao . I have patience but when you haven't won a playoff game in 4 years, something isn't right so it is time to spend some money and make key moves. In life if you don't try then you will never succeed. If we sign those guys or trade and fail, at least we tried. We are 70 Mill under the Salary Cap right, 70 Mill - time to roll the dice.

It’s gonna be hard to fill the shoes of Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck. Unless Carr or whoever we get ends up with us in the Super Bowl, most fans are gonna say whoever it is , wasn’t worth it

I am one of the most patient people in here and even have accused our fans of being spoiled but after a while losing gets old. Take some chances Ballard, that is why we got you in here. Hell Matt Ryan would give us 11 wins lmao .

Yeah, 11 wins over 51 games

Ryan gets a raw deal, he has been one of the best QB's over the last 10 years - in the top 10 each year. He is as good as Matt Stafford is, they are pretty even. Rams put a team around Stafford and he won a SB. You are right because we had Peyton and then Andrew, everyone will look at guys like Jimmy G as average. In realithy Jimmy is actually good.

Jimmy is above average

On a scale 1 to 10 Jimmy is 6.25

You had me right up to the last sentence. Jimmy COULD be good, he’s slightly above average, which is where Wentz is.  The difference between the two is Jimmy doesn’t seem to crack under pressure like Wentz does.

that said, Jimmy G can’t stay healthy. I’m not sure he’s even ever played every game of a season . Combine that with a surgery in his THROWING shoulder and we’d be better off bringing Curtis Painter out of retirement

If I had one game to win and you gave me a choice between Jimmy or Carson, I am taking Jimmy. I have never once said that Jimmy is elite or anything but with a good roster around him he always has a chance of winning. Carson like Tannehill will just find dumb ways to lose.

    • I concluded I wanted Stroud or Richardson. I just think it's crazy how quick some of these reporters and YouTubers are to jump on the guys(Levi's) every mistake. Now I did see some early reporting saying he started off good, but anything that looks bad it seems they are all over it. Oh well I'm glad we have who we picked!
    • Most of them. Levis' was really low 2.59 or something of the sort. That would be a good mark even for the NBA.
    • I don't think there was much hate on Levis. Not thinking of him as a good prospect to be drafted for the team shouldn't be seen as hate. After all, fans need to worry about their team and not for a particular prospect, who may or may not work out. If anything, the reports like that only accentuates what Levis had put up on his college film, that completing passes doesn't equal to accuracy and tape showed him to be an average QB talent.    I was actually surprised so many rated him so high, and many in this forum claimed he's Pro ready just because he had played with former NFL OCs and had been accustomed to NFL play calls and schemes. These are all good things for a QB prospect, but ultimately the film showed him struggling to hit on his receivers with anticipation and touch, and wasn't efficient in moving the chains or stringing together multiple great passes to consider him as first round talent.   What excited people are his great arm strength, suicidal athleticism and seemingly capability of enduring hardships. But, in reality film shows his pocket presence was poor that led him to take a number of hits which were seen as good attribute in being able to take hits with bad offensive line. However, many of hits and pressures were self induced in his proclivity to stand still until last second to try to throw to someone. His athleticism was good in getting some good rushing yards but same athleticism was absent when he had to evade pressure in the pocket. He couldn't hit his RB with proper touch and velocity to enable more yards after catch but those completions looked good enough for some in the stat sheet, and good completion % were proclaimed as great accuracy.    None of this is hate, just an assessment of his ability on the field. He's a polarizing prospect, some may like him for the same attributes that may not work out for him in the NFL level. Wish him the best, but he's a lot to learn and unlearn to be successful at next level. Levis actually got much love and undeserved high praise in this forum than any hate before the draft.   But agreed, it's good to keep media away from Richardson. But, as soon as he starts playing, those who are going to hate, criticize or micro-analyze are going to come out of the woods during the season. It's up to Richardson on how he handles the pressure, criticism and how he's able to focus on what he's got to gradually improve as a passer while improving what he does best.
    • I don’t know why the local media (and some fans) think the playoffs are “unrealistic”.     The NFL is changing and there definitely is parody across the league. Teams can go from bad to good (or visa-versa quickly.   And there’s such a fine line between winning and losing. A dropped pass here, and interception there and games are won or loss on a few critical plays.     I like the talent on the Colts and I know there’s question marks but being a “glass half full” kinda fan, I’m hoping for a 10-7 or better year.
    • That's how the interview is supposed to go.
