I voted for the Rivers scenario.

Kinda impressed with the value you put on Carr. Everyone on the Forum who wants to trade for Carr thinks it can be done for a mere late 2nd or 3rd. And that’s not happening!

Nice effort!

I always look at what is fair to the other team during a trade and what they may want or get out of it. I think Carr could definitely be had for our 34th and 44th which would be real fair to the Raiders if they want to part ways with him. I would rather just give them our 44th and 75th but that is 100% Colts thinking. We still keep our 13th where a 3Tech can be drafted and even with our 75th pick we can get a good WR if we choose the right one.

At a minimum the Raiders would be getting the 34th and additional pick.

There have been some delusional folks here thinking he can be had for less. Like I said, not happening. Carr was a top 10 QB with no primary 1WR.

I think highly of Carr, is he Andrew Luck - No, but he is above average at worse. It probably would take the 34th and 44th as Gruden just isn't going to hand us a 28 year old QB like that for very little. He may do it for just the 13th pick though.

It will not take even close to the 13th overall pick to acquire Carr. A 2nd should be more than enough.

Like I said, at a minimum the Raiders would want the Colts 34th and another pick.

Jimmy G was traded for a 2nd with limited play time.

Carr has a better resume than JG does.

Thanks for compiling.... Its a slow saturday

All three options have merit- I have added more

I do believe that they do need to be more aggressive with OT in the draft

Option 1

I am a fan of Carr as long as we dont give up too much

- But..... is he up for trade?

This is less risky of the 3 options listed, and puts us in the game for a playoff spot in 2020

Option 2

Having a vet FA while we develop a rookie, seems great on the surface

More and more folks are projecting Love to go in top 10, some folks see LAC

Is Rivers starting to droop in performance with age?

Rivers has stated that "its not his job" to help develop a rookie in 2017

- Is that the right attitude for someone to help develop the next QB of the Colts???

Are we hoping to get Rivers from 2012, or the player that was in 2019?

Option 3

Keep JB and let him compete with Chad Kelly, and a rookie like Anthony Gordon

Let the best of the three be our QB in 2020

We use the first 3 picks on quality, non QB players 3 picks in top 43.... all could be new starters

If option 3 doesn't work and they all suck, we will be ready to try again at the QB in next years draft.

Option 4.

If Herbert is there.......  just draft him at 13

He is a smart kid that just needs time to develop

Option 5

Trade a pile of picks to Washington to get Tua

All FIVE of these options could work, but option 2, the Rivers/Love move, for several reasons,  seems like a lower chance to happen, and my least favorite

If we go after Love.,,,,,,, Just let JB play until Love is ready.......

Agreed......

I wouldnt want to give up a 1st to get him.

Some of the taking heads have stated over the past 60 days that it will take a 2nd or an early 3rd to get Carr

Maybe the Colts swap their first round picks with Raiders at 19 to get Carr, and maybe throw in a 5th

In that way, we would get Carr AND 3 picks in the top 43.......
