Colts @ Ravens Saturday Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

We have brought pressure on only a couple of plays.

Every pass play the Ravens draw up is quick hitting. We need to just come after Flacco, and take the chance of giving up something big.

We are coaching scared!

Let these players ball out. Put it on them to win today!

It sucks to witness the coward play-calling. I would rather lose by 3 or 4 scores than play prevent defense all game.

The coaches have absolutely no faith at all in these players.

The only thing it prevents is getting your defense off the field

Dungy won a bunch of battles with it. Could be 9-7, but half the secondary was playing bingo or something and gave up a TD.

we cant bring pressure and cover....we don't have the athletes

You have to try to win,..not just open the door for scores

Pagano;s making it rain, too

That plays into the Colts' strength against the run. Best move he's made in a while.

I would rather lose trying to win. Our coaches are not giving our defense a chance to make a play. They have no confidence in these players.

We have to come after Flacco or we have no chance.

Pagano moved the game to Baltimore so our fans could not attend

Why is Aiken still on this team . Guy has cost them at least 2 wins this year.

I thought it was a terrible signing.

Not that I am always right, but the Ravens let him walk for a reason.

I disagree ..not against this team....

Confidence? Most of our players on he field are backups on defense

Ravens aren't explosive on offense....no safety help and single coverage in the secondary probably guarantees losing big

He can't catch the football. He's useless.

Heres a good example..we can rush 3 or 4 and drop 7 or 8

or we can 'go after him' with 6 or 7 and give up a TD

Or get to the QB once in a while

Basically we either have balls or we don't have balls.

Have you watched the 2017 Colts?

Being down at halftime is not a good thing. You think this gets better?

Someone get this man a drink!

I agree with OldUncleMark. A dropped pass by Aiken, a blocked field goal, a missed field goal by 1 yard and a confused secondary gives up an easy TD on 3rd and goal from the 6, for a 13-7 half. The game plan is good enough to be winning. The players have to own up to this score.

If trends stay consistent then we will lose this game by 4 touchdowns.

I am no where near a Nostradamus, but that vision is even clear to me.

    • I like Dillon, but he is what he is, a between the tackles RB with zero value to the passing game.
    • Going into the season, I thought we had a very formidable 1-2 WR group with TY and Funchess.  I had higher hopes for Cain and thought Campbell would really blossom as the season went on.     Funchess got hurt for the year after it looked like he and Jacoby had nice chemistry week 1.  Cain wasn't the Cain the colts.com documentaries were making him out to be.  TY has been banged up for a good chunk of the season.  Campbell has shown flashes, but he's been hurt or injured almost all season.     On top of that, I thought Ebron and Doyle would be one of the most formidable TE groups in the league.  Ebron had multiple bad drops along the way and is now on the IR.  Doyle's had an all right year, but the rest of our TE's are nothing better than mediocre (at least at receiving).     While J. Williams also had a couple of good games, our running attack was without our #1 for a couple weeks and our team didn't win with Mack on the injury report.
    • LOL yes I have been an eyewitness to much of this, definitely don’t need to see it on YouTube to believe you. And I have had the unfortunate experience of wearing my Colts jersey to a preseason game once, definitely got taunted and that was only preseason! Only didn’t bother me as much because I grew up in inner city Philly so I was used to the rudeness  but no I totally get it, I never said the reputation wasn’t deserved. But since I am from Philly I just jump to hating Dallas more, just my personal bias

His athleticism (38.3-inch jump) and strength (40-foot toss) were also on display, earning him SPARQ (speed, power, agility, reaction and quickness) ratings MVP honors for a second-straight year."   https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/aj-dillon-1.html   Freshman 2017.  1500+ yds Rushing Sophomore 2018. 1100+ yds  Junior. 2019.          1600+ yds   RB isn't high on my "Colts need" list, but A.J. Dillon is the perfect complimentary RB for this Team. Even at 249lbs he's still running a 4.5 40-yd and he doesn't get injured like Mack bc of his size.
    • Dude, he didn’t play well when he had the starters playing. Face this fact, he can’t get past his first read, regardless of the time his oline gives him. He isn’t Manning or Luck and that’s always been clear,  ever felt he would be. I always thought he would be capable of reading more than 1 and maybe sometimes 2 reads but he hasn’t and at this stage, don’t think he can. He isn’t the guy this team risks the “with time he will get it”. He hasn’t shown growth in that area. Solid bench guy. Great team morale guy. Awful awful starter.
