I'd take him over Pagano any day of the week, Mike McCarthy that is. However, I doubt the Packers are a knee jerk type of organization. 1 SB 6 years ago has bought some benefit of doubt. If they miss the playoffs 2 consecutive years, then that is a recipe for a head coach being canned for a team supposed to be a SB contender.

Some of their fans are tired of McCarthy. Just because they're having an average season doesn't mean they should get rid of him. He's a pretty decent coach if you ask me.

They probably will still make the playoffs anyway. They always do!

 

They likely IMO beat up on the Titans this weekend. Detroit seems to be coming alive a bit and the Vikings, um no idea if they win again at times anymore.

The Packers situation is alot funnier than it looks. Favre had his little homecoming and everything, but because of so many freakin' years of gunslinging, Rodgers has been a breathe of fresh air no matter how many games he's lost by playing in 3rd gear with his little completion % and TD:INT ratio. Some Packers are finally tired of this and the excuses but some haven't budged. We'll see.

 

For what it's worth, every coach with Ted Thompson including his days before he was the GM was fired after their first losing season, and 1 of those losing seasons was an 8-8 season (Ray Rhoads). Maybe Ted is who has gotten complacent and it's caused McCarthy, Rodgers, and on down the line to do so?
