Watching the replay you can see the pad that he has that covers the lower back kind of shifted as he got hit. Weird fluky hit in a bad spot.

there is straight line speed, and there is quick speed. Big athletes can be very fast in a straight line, but not shifty quick. Shifty is how you avoid the big hits and injuries. If you want a running qb, I wouldn’t take a big qb, no mater how fast he runs the 40! He will probably be injury prone.
