The game is long from over, and you can't count them out with Rivers and Gates, but I didn't see this one coming. Miami often has issues closing out, too. Should be an interesting second half.

Miami is a little Jekyll and Hyde. I can't get a real feel for them. I know it's any given Sunday and all that jazz, but they have been a model for inconsistency.

What's sad is in one of my leagues I'm playing the guy starting rivers who had negative points today and I might still lose.  I'm ahead slightly but he has several players left to play.

Actually Rivers would agree with you, he said he flat out stunk.  Worst game I've ever seen him play - he was back to 2012 (and so was the OL's protection).  He tried too hard, tried to pick up the team and put it on his back rather than execute the play at hand and take what the defense is giving you.

 

This could turn out to be a really good thing in the long run... teams can so easily get cocky.  We get 4+ players back after the bye week.  Can't.  Wait!!!!

He was okay - but I wouldn't read too much into his performance.  We had NO pass rush and a terribly decimated secondary.  We could have made anyone look good last week.
