I don't know how often players read these forums, but hope he does.  Keep working hard and getting better every day, and one day soon you will be able to help your mom retire early.  Love of family can be the strongest of motivations.  Colts Nation supports you.

I have high hopes for him.  He was projected to be a top 50 pick and fell to us in the 90s.  It was also his birthday yesterday

Excited to see him play. He has lots of potential and had a good camp from what I saw. Hopefully will be a great target with Luck for a while.

It's too bad for him and good for us that he needed the money now.  Because if he could have waited til next year he might have been a 1st round pick.  

 

This class was just too loaded especially at WR for him to go in the 1st round.

You have to give the man credit for wanting to help out his family... and not just cash in. Moncrief will be the one to watch this season for me. I'm interested in seeing how does on kickoffs. The last couple of years it seems like we have not had a guy who when given a chance could move the ball past the 20 yard line regularly. I recall a certain player who people would beg to take a knee which is never good.

As far as reasons for entering the draft early, this is as best and unselfish as it gets. Players being impatient and trying to make the immature jump from one level to the next hardly ever turns out right, because of the wrong reasons.

id guess about half the kids in college have family waiting to leach off them when they get in the pros. his dad is probably on disability making 40k plus a year
