Well that sucks. Connor was a great depth at LB for us. I don't know why the FO didn't let him play more.

I wish Tom Telesco would go cherry pick some other team.

While not making any big splashes in free agency like other teams, the San Diego Chargerscontinue to fortify the depth on the team’s roster. Pending the player passing a physical, the Chargers have agreed in principle to a three-year deal with Indianapolis Colts free agent middle linebacker Kavell Conner

Conner, 27, totaled a career-high 104 tackles in 15 starts with Indianapolis in 2011. Conner started 36 games in four seasons for the Colts, collecting 236 tackles, seven pass breakups and a sack.

GM Tom Telesco worked in the Colts' personnel department when the team drafted Conner out of Clemson in the seventh round in 2010.

At 6-foot and 240 pounds, Conner will compete for a roster spot as a reserve inside linebacker behind Donald Butler and <a data-ipb="nomediaparse" data-cke-saved-href="http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/15867/manti-te" href="http://espn.go.com/nfl/player/_/id/15867/manti-te" o"="">Manti Te'o

Along with Conner, the Chargers have signed running back Donald Brown and tight endDavid Johnson so far in free agenc. They also retained Butler, safety Darrell Stuckey and offensive lineman Chad Rinehart.
