New Zealands #1 Colts Fan
Let him go and use the money for eds and maybe decker. then draft a cb in 2nd round
DougDew
Well....according to some of the rumor sites, there are many teams interested in pursuing Verner. There are a couple interested in Talib. I don't see any rumors that any team is interested in Davis.
IndyD4U
My gut tells me we won't throw the 10+ mil that it's going to take to keep Davis, but who knows, I'm rarely correct in these situations. (why I'm not a GM)
RealityIsLuck
Yup, now I can understand why a deal hasn't been made yet. That's simply to much money tied up in one DB. 10 mil or more? That's Jimmy Graham money. That's money you play for elite CB play. No way Vontae is worth that much. Give me Browner, Thurmond or Tillman instead of overpaying.I mostly agree but only problem is they may be overpaid for as well, except maybe Browner because of obvious reasons. wig
I bet Grigson it's wishing he settled on something already.
snkdy
The baseline keeps increasing sigh. Wouldn't be surprised to see Davis gone now. Talib is probably gone from the Pats too.
Manning1887
Wow, that is absolutely ridiculous money for him. Insane, we are going get the shaft by Vontae Davis. He is not even remotely close to being worth $10 million per season.
BLUEx40
not very sure about this but I have read that it is very front loaded
jamesie jr
I'm glad he's re-signed. I'd think he'd be too expensive if he hit the market imo. Think we'd overpay for some good players. For example Decker and Byrd who i hope we avoid like the plague. Don't think this is the way to go tbh, especially with the 2012 draftees coming up in the near future. The Legion of Boom has raised CB prices up. Packers also reportedly interested in Lamar Houston and Arthur Jones, it seems.
