Didn't the 49ers have a bye last year and New England did the year before that as did the Steelers the year before that and the Colts and Saints in 2009.  Normally at least one of the teams get there with a bye.  It's been a long time (if ever) since the Super Bowl was made up of two teams without a bye.  I went back to the early 90's and couldn't come up with a match up of two teams there without a bye.
