Instead of trying to decipher this madness lets just talk about our top three choices out of the bunch that make sense.

I'll start:

Victor Cruz - Although new info says he is not the guy... he still very well could be. This move is simple and complex at the same time... the rules are laid out and the sides have to hash it out. It would take our 1st and a big contract to pry him away.

Jeremy Maclin - He is in a contract year and has ties to Grigson. I consider him to be very under-utilized given Philly's current state of operations the past couple of seasons. Bringing him in could jump start his young career to work with a talented young QB.

Stevie Johnson - Recently signed a new contract with the Bills but, those big wigs are G-O-N-E. He is young(26) and he is tall(6'2''). His contract would fit with the cap situation we are facing AND I think it would allow us to have room for draft signings. His contract was for 5 years, 36.25 million dollars, just over 7 million a year with a bit under 20 million guaranteed.

Larry Fitzgerald - I would love to see it happen but, even I have to face the facts... this would be a monstrous undertaking and just beyond the realm of believably. I have no reason to think he is going anywhere unless he were involved in a crazy 3-way trade.

Whatever happens, whenever it happens... This is how I can see it going down since all the owners are in Arizona.

Everyone is sitting around a GIANT circle table, kind of like King Arthurs round table. All of a sudden Jim gets a text, he looks down at his phone and it's from Grigs. The text message reads, "We brought him down alot, and he really wants to play for us, we need to lock down this offer NOW." Irsay stands up and excuses himself from the table from a minute to step out into the hallway. He keys in the appropriate speed dial number for his up and coming young General Manager. "Do It," he says in a barely audible voice, just loud enough for the person on the other end of the line to hear him. Irsay slips back into his chair, careful not to make alot of noise. He glances, ever so slightly at the owner who's receiver he just basically stole at such a cheap price. He lets out a heavy sigh and grins letting his mind wander from the boring rule talk, something about runningbacks and lowering the heads. It's a good day to be a Colts fan, It's a good day to be Jim.

    • Yeah, Ebukam almost looks clumsy next to Latu. He's just so fluid.
    • Did Hou actually get that much better? This really does remain to be seen. I am of the opinion that the signing of Diggs is a signing that has been made about 2 years too late. He won't be bad, but he isn't a top 10 WR in the NFL anymore. I wouldn't put him as any more dangerous that Pittman, so WR's are a push. We have the better RB, Mixon is great and all, but he is not JT. We have the better Oline, and it isn't even close. TE's are a push, we have a lot of upside, but until it is realised im very "meh" on our TEs. QB - I would argue that Stroud is probably more likely to regress to the mean in year 2 vs improve. That rookie season of his was a bit silly, and they had an easier schedule last season too. If he really does build on last year and get even better, then our entire discourse here is probably irrelevant as we will have another Mahomes level QB on our hands to deal with in the AFC and within the AFC South no less. So unless Richardson is also a Mahomes level talent in that scenario, we are done for anyways. To me, our success in this coming season comes down to 2 groups on this entire team. 1. The QB (because... duh) 2. Our DBs. If we even get average play from the DBs, I think this team has the ability to win the whole damned thing (supposing Richardson stays healthy and is what we all hope he is). I would also argue that Houston are paper thin. If they lose a OL starter, Mixon or even one of their starting WRs.... they have a very big drop off. And injuries happen in the NFL. Just sayin...
    • If he wasn’t fast enough or athletic enough anymore for linebacker, then he’s not going to be able to cut it at Safety where speed , quickness, athleticism are even more important.    Wish it wasn’t so….
    • could he be another bob sanders at that position?
    • Man I love me some Maniac, but it won't happen, and he's too slow after his surgeries.
