Hello Colts Family

How's everyone doing? Hope you guys are ready for Sunday :)

Anyhow, I have this interesting article from NFL.com that has the FINAL Record Predictions by a Gregg Rosenthal. The predictions he made are definitely some eye openers. Check it out.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000059431/article/final-record-predictions-for-all-32-nfl-teams

As for the Roster moves, this straight from our very own Colts.com & was posted a little over 20mins ago now

http://www.colts.com/news/article-1/ROSTER-MOVES/4921197e-343e-4154-b724-d2cff11915d5

So my question for that article is, does that mean they're off the Team.... or they've just been Cleared to play now??

Thanks for your Time & Responses

they are free to sign with other teams but I bet they clear waivers

I personally think 8-8 is a little too optimistic... but not terribly so....

As to those player who were waived off the IR.... I believe it means they are no longer with the team and are free to sign elsewhere....

Could be wrong on either or both.... but those are my views....

All those players are now cut. Off the team.

Ohhhh, thanks for Clarifying

When an injured player is waived from the IR list and is NOT picked up by anyone, who pays for their medical bills for the injury?

Also, personally, I wish not so many folks start propping up the Colts. Leave them with a lower bar. Less pressure. Now, if they are 4-4 or so midway into the season, then get excited.

I am not sure if the Colts will go 8-8, because of the tough schedule. I'd say at least 6-10 and I believe that Luck will be the Rookie of the Year.

What Tough schedule? Only games that are "Tough" are: Packers, Lions, Bears, Patriots, & Texans.( Who we usually Split 1-1 with)

Tough schedule??? The Colts have a powder puff schedule, there is a few tough games but they seriously got a huge break this yr. thanks to only winning 2 games last yr.. That don't mean we will win a bunch of games, but the schedule certainly makes it a little more probably they have will have a respectable record.

Well, I predict a 9-7 record for the Colts, which I know is very optimistic, but I am a glass half full kind of guy. And I base it on the "tough" schedule. No, the schedule doesn't look bad, with only 2 home games against playoff hopefuls, and 1 of those is against Texans, last game of season - which may count nothing for them if they are as good as everyone is saying (but I don't necessarily believe at this point). We do have four tough road games, starting with Chicago this weekend, (New England, Houston, Detroit), but the other four are all up for grabs.

Just a quick, honest question--What do we gain from releasing these players?

Money and cap space.... I think the team pays medical bills expenses and pays some type of severance pay...

It's much better/more than it used to be, but still not a lot. Sorry, I can't give you a figure. I think it's based a bit on what the player's salary was....

Sorry your first post has drawn so much attention..... but this year the Colt's have a very easy schedule compared to other teams... very few games against opponents who were in the playoffs last year. Very few games against opponents who project to be in the playoffs this year.... very few games against elite quarterbacks..... very few games against elite defenses...

And most of our projected winnable games are at home. The schedule-maker was pretty kind to the Colts.

We couldn't ask for much more. I still don't see us as a .500 team, but close, and certainly much, much better than last year's record which shall not be mentioned here...

Oh, and welcome to the website. Nice to have a new member....
