That's borderline insanity I think, Would you trade a healthy Brees who has 8 years in a row of 30+ TD's and now less then 4418 yards passing for a project? I get it...Winston is by far the best QB in the draft...But we are not talking about an elite QB prospect here. I mean any other position you could get away with doing that and not blow your franchise all to hell...But trading a healthy Drew Brees for anything less then a Peyton Manning reincarnate or Andrew Luck has the potential to send them back in Saints age.....I think you ride it out with Brees and let Ryan Griffin develop

Well except the whole Peyton coming off 4 neck surgeries, Luck being touted as the best QB to come out since at least Peyton or Elway....Come on now...Its not realistic to say the situations are the same...One just came off a season of nearly 5000 yards passing and 30+ td's again(Brees)...Whiile the other at the time (Peyton Manning) was coming off 4 surgeries to his neck

But beyond the "whoops" of leaving out Cooper,  you also have Mariotta available when the Eagles pick,  and Chip Kelly passing on him.....

This is almost a big board. Kind of like how the draft would go if the top pick teams weren't starved for QBs. I still think Winston is the best/most valuable player in the draft, but the Pats wouldn't take him over Leonard Williams.
