I've seen the Raiders do this in their new stadium.

The grass is on a huge tray that slides in and out of the stadium

Sliding it out gives the grass the sunlight it needs.

Thanks for sharing that. Can that be done in all stadiums?

This is a creative solution.

AT&T stadium where the Cowboys play they have installed grow lights for a soccer tournament

There's a link to a video of the grow lights in the article below

Yes, several stadiums have converted to natural grass to host soccer matches.

Maybe for the newer stadiums where you can design it in before it is built.

It might be tough to retrofit it.

I like the grow light idea.

Thanks. You follow college football. Do all colleges use grass in their stadiums?

Can be done in Indy with out much renovation

Nope it would be a ton of renovation due to how it was built.  You shouldnt say stuff like this when you dont know, they have commented on this before.  The league could make them switch but they are not going to

Most colleges are open air stadiums so they are natural grass.

Colleges cannot afford to build multi billion dollar domes where owners pass on the cost to taxpayers.

I know in most college warm weather climates it will be natural grass.  But in cold weather climates like up north it will be artificial turf because colleges can't afford the maintenance of natural grass in cold weather.

Interestingly enough Florida has a very thick natural grass which possibly contributed to ARs playing style of taking on tacklers and being thrown to the turf hard.

The tackle that ended his season would not have hurt him at all at Florida

I hope the Colt fans dont mind having this Packer fan stick around!

You were the first person I thought of when I said the other Packer’s fan doesn’t represent the Packer’s fan base.  I don’t mind if other fans come here, we have good ones, you and NFLfan at the top of the list but don’t walk in acting like you know more about the Colts than Colts fans and don’t feel like you have to be aggressive to everyone right off the bat.

I wasn’t here when you joined, but it looks like it was a few days before one of the all-time classic in Colts history. You’ve stuck around for a while… It’s pretty obvious what fans intentions are when they hop on another forum and constantly poke at others a few weeks out from their team’s contest. Why would we want you to leave at this point? You are an old timer by now.
