2023 NFL Weekly Pick'em Games: Week 4

Recommended Posts

Lions at Packers (can Love win 2 games in a row at home?)

Falcons vs Jaguars (Ridley revenge game in London?? Jaguars have great record playing in London)

Dolphins at Bills (toss up, IMO, because Bills D plays better at home)

Vikings at Panthers (will Cousins get traded to Jets by end of week?)

Broncos at Bears (early season Toilet Bowl?? Both teams have gone from OK to bad/worse from last season.)

Ravens at Browns (Browns D has been statistically very good)

Steelers at Texans (bad matchup for Stroud's playing style vs pressure)

Rams at Colts (will Rams' starter OL injuries keep them out?)

Buccaneers at Saints (Carr's injury led to Packers comeback from down 0-17 to 18-17, will he play?)

Commanders at Eagles (more feasting for Eagles)

Bengals at Titans (a place where Burrow and the Bengals play well)

Raiders at Chargers (we will see which team has more fans)

Patriots at Cowboys (feel good comeback game for Cowboys??)

Cardinals at 49ers (no more taking Cardinals for granted after Cowboys win, 49ers will be ready)

Chiefs at Jets (maybe Cousins is traded to Jets for Jets to save face??)

Seahawks at Giants (this is what you get when you invest in mediocrity, Mr. Jones)

Do Jets have money? What'll they do with Rodgers contract then... Doesn't make sense unless Vikings pay for Kirk this year, and that'd mean Jets will need to give Minnesota a lot of draft capital, which they may not have because they just got Rodgers with that!

Why don't Jets rather give a 2nd round pick or some future 1st to Cowboys and get Trey Lance? He's in rookie contract, I think, which Jets could afford and they could cast him off if he's not needed after this season.

Cowboys spent 4th round draft pick for Lance so a 2nd round pick will be a great offer for someone they've as backup QB, when Cooper Rush is enough for them.

My TNF Pick

Lions 26 @ Packers 24

With Packers CB Jaire Alexander, Aaron Jones, Christian Watson, De'vondre Campbell, two great starters on OT & OG either not playing or playing through injury, this is the Lions' chance to get a W at Lambeau Field.. if they don't, that'd be very disappointing for all the promise they showed so far.

Lions pass rush came alive last week (so did Rashan Gary for Packers), and Packers look average in everything without their stalwarts, even though Love shows some Brilliance in spurts!

Tough week to pick really. There are a lot of good games this week.

Falcons/Jags - could go either way.

Ravens at Browns - could go either way.

Dolphins at Bills - could go either way.

Steelers at Texans - could go either way.

Broncos at Bears - could go either way.

Bucs at Saints - could go either way. I am not even sure if Carr is playing, if so he isn't 100%.

Me too, if I go 12-4 this week, it will be pure luck. I still haven't bet on any games yet.

I only picked the Broncos to win because Justin Fields legit can't read defenses. He just holds the ball and stands there waiting for something to happen, while DJ Moore is wide open...

Bears are in full sellout mode to get Williams.

Broncos should win, in reality they have the better QB and Coach but I went with the Bears for craps and giggles. Bears at home is about the only reason lmao

By the way your predictions and the actual results go usually, You're going to be right on this one, just to everyone's surprise.

Well, that's exactly what he should've been waiting to happen   :headspin:

Except he either throws to the flat, or takes a sack. Dude just doesn’t have timing…

Bears having 2 first round picks (theirs along with Panthers pick) early in the top of the draft will help.

Cardinals have Texans pick and theirs, so they'd have a couple of picks in top half of the draft, both teams are set to get their franchise QB easily if they want, and if they can evaluate QBs properly.

For Chicago's sake, if they fire their GM and bring in someone who can scout QBs well, they may have a chance.

I didn't get the reference of this weeks copy?

I remember @2006Coltsbestever joked  something about someone copying/pasting his picks?.

On a different subject, I heard somewhere Jets are inquiring about trading for Cousins. Is that true? I'm assuming your a Viking fan, what are you hearimg?....jthat would be rough losing Cook and Cousins back to back years. I think it could happen if Carolina beats them and  then have KC  next week.

I think it would be a bummer for Viking fans losing cook and then cousins.

Yes, both the bears & cards will probably be in position to get QBs in the draft...... But not Caleb Williams?

Colin cowherd said rumors are Caleb will pick his team and he's not liking the bears/cards organizations and !ah pull a Elway/Eli move.

That's good for the NFL, if Caleb doesn't end up with dumpster fire teams. He's a superstar and would be harder to market with such bad teams.

Maybe its good that the timing wasn't right for the colts to be in position for him. Colts now have their QB and if Caleb is going to choose his destination he probably wouldn't choose the colts, Indy, and irsay.

USC vs DeIon  Sanders early on Saturday, should be interesting.. A lot of hype on Deion.

Let's see how it goes, long way to go... it will be funny if Caleb chooses his own choice team and they get to be a train wreck while the teams he didn't want get to be in better shape...

Sometimes, life can prove you oversmarted yourself. (Like JT this off-season)

You had picked the same exact 26-24 score I had predicted for TNF... so, I jumped on to shout "copy" :funny:

I think Vikings GM and HC want to move on from Cousins, and many of us want to move on too... it's better to wait and draft a franchise QB like Colts did. Cousins' contract puts so much burden on the roster, and he doesn't compensate for that in important games. He can go somewhere and finish his career with top 10 passing stats like Matt Ryan did.

Only problem is this GM's drafts have been so poor that I'm not sure if he would be able to spot and draft a franchise QB!

Just now, EasyE said:

Why not they took Cowboys down..lmao

I think Trevon Diggs ACL injury jolted the defense, and their pass coverage and turnover rate might not be great anymore.

Dak is just riding on a good team without performing as well as he could, so Cowboys are back to above average team and would get ousted in playoffs as usual...

On the other hand, 49ers can juggle 5 different QBs and get a new DC every year, and change the roster dramatically and they'd still look formidable every week.. it would be a surprise if Cardinals manage to cause another upset this week.

Also, if same team causes upset every week, it wouldn't be an upset anymore.

My bets are in. I call them my 50's. I make 2 $50 bets each week. So far, I am 5-1 through 3 weeks so I am roughly $200 to the good.

+I have Colts over Rams, the line is even.

+I have Ravens over Browns, I am getting 2 points and the Ravens.

So far on the season with our picks in here, I am now 34-15, I had the Lions on Thursday which I posted on Wednesday.
