So this year my league is doing a different format with one RB, Three WRs, No TE, and two Flexs. It's also a half point PPR. This is what I'm drafting so far.

QB - Tua, AR

RB - Entente, Walker, Dillon

WR - Chase, Waddle, Dovonta Smith, Mike Williams, Lockett, Pickens

D - Eagles

K - Carlsen

Elite league draft:

QB: Mahomes, Watson

RB: McCaffrey, Dillon

RB: Taylor, Moss, Jackson

WR: K. Allen, Rice

WR: Hopkins, Pierce

W/T: Kirk

W/R/T: Kamara

DEF: Ravens

Took Pierce late because I didn't really like the WR options, and he is at least a #2 going into season.

Paired Rice with Mahomes late

Took Taylor in 3rd round, protected myself by taking Moss and Jackson.

Best case scenario(fantasy wise) is if Taylor gets traded, should have two teams #1. Worst case scenario(fantasy wise) is Taylor stays(good for real life), then I got to drop one of the other guys

Couldn't pass on Kamara either, just suspended 3 games.

Rashee Rice? He's in KC, right? Seems had a promising preseason.

Why 3 Indy RBs?

In case Taylor gets traded or doesn't play.

If he gets traded, I have two #1 RBs.

Either way trade or sit out, I will have #1 Colts back.

Yeah, Rice from KC, he has a drop problem but he has major potential.

Drafted tonight.

I got an A+ on my draft picks.

We'll see.

How do you know what grade you got? Maybe it depends on what site you draft through? I did mine on Fanduel, and no one was graded as far as I noticed.

I also started Fanduel Sportsbook this year, Already bet on some USFL, basketball and soccer. Didn't do too badly. I have a set limit and work with that amount.

Yeah, some sites like Yahoo give draft grades immediately after the draft, even analyses of drafted squad, whether you picked a player too early or too late based on their player projections, how your drafted squad is expected to perform in terms of wins and points for the season based on their strength of schedule of all drafted teams, etc .,

The actual results would often make those projections very funny to look back at though!

Yes it is a yahoo league and we got emails with draft grades and analysis.

Last year my draft grade was B- and I won the year.  You never know but it was fun to get an A+ grade. haha

Here's my draft. Keep in mind, it's only one RB, three WRs, no TE, and two flexes.

QB- Herbert, AR

RB- Walker, Swift, Javonte Williams

WR- Chase, Waddle, Dovonta Smith, Mike Williams, Sutton, Jameson Williams

Flex/TE - Waller

D - Eagles

K - Myers

Very odd positions. If it's full point ppr, I love it. If not, I probably would have got an rb earlier.

Half point PPR. I came up with the idea to try to balance things. I feel like RB2 and TE are the most difficult positions to get constant production.

Hey guys, who would you pick at 2 in a 8 players ppr league?

I know 80% of the experts are like Chase, but I really like cmc's upside and think I can get a decent WR in rd 2 or 3.

You're whole team is going to be loaded in an 8 team league.

I will say this RBs are few and far between this year it seems after the top.

I lean CMC, for that reason.

Probably take a RB with 2nd round pick as well, depending on who is available. Not give the guy after you 2 chances to take next best one before you.. Then can look at WR with the 3.2

Or QB depending on their scoring in the league.

Not sure those RBs will be involved much in the passing game . Maybe, Walker? Swift can, but Philly doesn't use them more in passing game but this year could be different.

Javonte Williams was actually leading backs in receptions before he got hurt.

I have Sam Laporta in my fantasy lineup, and he's questionable. A recent report stated that he is trending downwards, so I need to find another TE. I'm considering either Hockenson or Goedert. The problem with Goedert is if he will once again be utilized in the game. He was last week, but was hardly noticeable before that.

With Justin Jefferson out, I'm thinking Hockenson will be heavily involved. I also have Osborn in my lineup.

Yeah, go for Hock... It's lucky you've all these guys available... My leagues only have left-alones.

    • This has to be the worst take I've seen on this forum in a very long time!  I wish there was a thumb down or dislike button for your post.
    • Kool-Aid McKinstry(41), Kamari Lassiter(no.42), Max Melton(43) all have their 3d year completely guaranteed too.    In general it seems like MItchell's contract is middle of the road type of contract. Some got more guaranteed, some less...
    • Enjoy I'm making an 11 hour trip myself  in November  to get to a colts game.
    • Details from OTC: https://overthecap.com/player/adonai-mitchell/11660   Four years, $7,386,086 total value, $4,817,431 fully guaranteed at signing (65.2%, no info about offsets) Signing bonus, $2,191,700 (prorated to $547,925/year) Salaries for 2024 ($795,000) and 2025 ($1,130,731) are fully guaranteed at signing Salary for 2026 ($1,466,462) partially guaranteed ($700,000) at signing (47.7%)   The #46 pick this year was Jonathon Brooks (coincidentally, the Colts original draft spot), to the Panthers. His contract is only guaranteed for the first two years, total of $4,914,107 guaranteed, which is 58.4% of the total value. At first, I thought this meant AD Mitchell's contract is pretty good, but apparently Brooks' contract is kind of bad. The next pick was Tyler Nubin (Giants), who has nearly all of his third year guaranteed. And last year, the #46 pick was Keion White (Patriots), and almost half of his third year was guaranteed. So Brooks seems to have undercut his guarantees. Some teams hold the line really well, so I was thinking maybe Carolina doesn't want guarantees in the third year, but they drafted Jonathan Mingo at #39 last year, and guaranteed almost half of his third year. Brooks probably could have done better if he had waited a few weeks.   The second round is kind of all over the place this year. There are still 11 guys unsigned, and a good number at the top and in the middle of the round. But all the way up at #40, Cooper DeJean (Eagles) only has $247k guaranteed in 2026, and his total percentage of guarantee is only 62.8%, so his contract isn't as favorable as Mitchell's. And then you have a few guys in the middle of the round -- like Jackson Powers-Johnson (Raiders, #44) and Edgerrin Cooper (Packers, #45) -- who have 2026 fully guaranteed (Cooper's is all but $76k).   But it's all going up. AD Mitchell has more favorable guarantees than Jonathan Taylor did when he was the #41 pick in 2020 (53.9%). Each draft class pushes it a little further than the previous class.
