Here is an interesting article from NFL.com on QB's.

The Next Gen Stats crew has created a new metric/algorithm to analyze QBs. I never thought the PFF numbers meant anything for the QB.  Why?  I never thought they had face validity.  This one is very different and I think is better.  There are some surprises here too.

Here is the methodology they used to come up with the rankings.  I wonder if Ballard uses any analytics like this to grade QBs??

Ryan Tannehill is #4 on the playoff list and Wentz isn't on it.  But they did say only 2 QBS in the top 14 didn't make the playoffs and Wentz isn't one of them.

Are you surprised? It is at best the 2019 version of Wentz we got, spotty and inconsistent.

The QBR says so:

On the new metric. Will see how is stands up over time.

We already have PR, QBR, DVOA, PFF, etc..

Sounds like everyone will have their own before long.

I hope someone takes them all and creates a composite lol.

I guess this will make it easier for some to find at least one model to support whatever their opinion might be lol..

I’m tired of people blaming Carson for the downfall of this team. We looked slow before our bye week. Kurt Warner wants to talk about understanding coverages when he is tied for one of the longest pick 6 record in a Super Bowl. Dan Orlovsky and his trying to convert on a safety… They really can’t talking about how bad of a player he is. Everyone makes mistakes. Don’t buy into that.  If Carson is here or isn’t next season. I’m for whatever improves the team. But let’s not put all the blame on him.

Thanks for sharing. Is there a list of all the QBs that played this year? I'm glad to see that despite his glowing stats, Kirk Cousins is not among the top 15, as that validates what most Vikings fans believe -- he is not a winning QB, regardless of how great his stats look. I would love to see where he ranked.

I have to read the methodology to better understand this metric.

I do like that they show 3 years of grades, which is a better look at an individual.
