I think, think being the key word here, that Kirk was wanting to just throw it away and didn’t see the safety lurking back there?

Jefferson was held and tackled. It should have been a penalty but there have been some bad calls against the Bears.

If the Vikings make the playoffs, do you think Zimmer is gone? I do think Nagy is history.

I think making the playoffs is not enough. This is his eighth season.

Matt Nagy has beaten Zimmer more than he has lost to him.

As long as John doesn't go for 2 he is great (joking)

That's ok. I am the only one on earth who agreed with him. Mike Shanahan did that a few times. Both he and Harbaugh are Super Bowl winning head coaches.

Oh I love it when Frank goes for it on 4th a lot, going for 2 to end a game though I don't agree with that. That is just saying you have no faith in your D at all. I guess I get yesterday because if this guy Green Bay Packers Reaction GIF by Martellus Bennett's Text Back Pack gets the coin toss it is bad.

No, he was two yards to go to score and win the game. If they tie it, no way would they win. If they were playing against a mediocre QB, I would get it.. They were playing against Rodgers.

Anyone else

Who are some of the  coaches that may replace Matt Nagy and Mike Zimmer? Any bright minds? (No, Joe Brady is not among them.)

Eric Bieniemy needs to get a chance at some point. Josh McD's name will certainly come up. Dennis Allen, Dan Quinn, and Wink Martindale are other names that should get kicked around.

How did you feel after our win on Saturday? I have to admit that is the best I have felt since we beat them in 2009. Man I was happy all night at work. I had to work that night haha It was a smooth fun night lmao . That was a huge statement win.

Yes.  JT's touchdown at the end had me smiling for days!.

And yes beating the Pats always feels good.   Still not the rivalry we once had with them but felt great!

Thank you. I like Dan Quinn. Hard pass on Josh McD. No one from Bill Belichick's staff.

I believe that after 10 years of defensive head coaches, I may prefer someone on offense. How about the Bills OC? I want someone stable-- no off-the-field issues. Someone quiet (Dungy-like but an OC).

Thanks again.

If you want, I'd go with Bieniemy over Daboll (Bill's OC). I'm sure Leftwich will get some interest too. All 3 Os are pass heavy though.

    • Yes but you should look at the way the D played situationally though, it shouldn't be dependent totally on the offense to me. Let me explain.   4th qtr. of Jaguars game, the D didn't make the stop and limit the Jaguars to a FG, down 21-24. Flash forward to this game. It was not like Minshew and the O was keeping possession to dominate it (it was 36-32 overall in TOP) to keep them fresh. YET, the D was scrappy and did not allow the game to get away. They could have, but they didn't. That is why the O stayed in the game and was able to win it for us.    All those years with Peyton, that was always my complaint with the Colts D. Ravens with Flacco, Steelers with Big Ben, Patriots with Tom Brady, it didn't matter if their QB turned it over, their D was scrappy, blitzed and made it hard for the other team to cash in on a mistake by the offense. However, with Peyton's D, we were soft in a lot of big games, except for 1 AFCCG where we made stop after stop to give Peyton the ball back enough times to make a dent. Having said that, when the D kept making stop after stop in the 2008 Chargers Sproles playoff game, Peyton and the O underwhelmed in important moments. Football is truly a complementary game.   Giants shutting down the Patriots' offense when it mattered most, in a low scoring SB to prevent their perfect record or shutting them down in the 2011 SB in Indy in the entire 4th qtr. when it mattered most or the Patriots' D doing the same (shutting down the O) vs Seahawks in 2014 SB 4th qtr. and Falcons in 2014 SB 4th qtr. are perfect examples of the D keeping the O alive in the game till the QB can give them a good drive or two.   The Colts just played a thorough complementary game vs the Ravens last Sunday, like the scrappy Ds I have always yearned for, seeing the Ravens and Steelers over the years. That is the part I am most proud of. Can they reproduce that scrappiness over the course of the year, despite the O going through lulls at times? That will determine a lot.

    • I don't know if this makes sense but when a defense looks like they have more players on the field vs the offense, its always been a  sign of a good defense. They swarm to the ball. The Colts defense meets the eye test in that.
