Wow crazy money. Chris really needs to bring back Melvin or sign Kendall Fuller now. Can’t go into the draft with CB being another huge need with the many other needs.

He's done plenty of both. But I don't want to spend that kind of money on corners in a zone based defense.

With Johnson and Butler signing we have enough information to make an offer for Fuller on his transition tag.  The way the Bears are spending money they probably won't be able to match.  Desir or Melvin should be ready to resign too.

Having those 3 and Hairston, I'd be happy with that this year.  Saves a draft pick.

That was why I think polian adopted the cover 2 zone. Shutdpwn cover corners are not easy to get AND expensive as heck. So a cover 2 zone corner can be less talented and cheaper. The savings can be put into Offensive weapons and pass rushing DE's.

BTW, its reported that the Jets will re-sign Josh McCown for 1 year and have moved on from the Teddy Bridgewater pursuit. 

 

If true, they seem to have committed to taking a QB early this draft.

I like the idea of getting Fuller..
