To be honest with you, I've not yet looked into it.  There's so much that changes between the 6th pick and the 4th pick in round 2 that I've not yet mocked that out.  I'd probably go BPA on all 3 of those, with 3 of them, pretty high chance we can get a couple that are in positions of need as well.

Have you listened to Bill Polian on the 1070? What he said is pretty true about this team. I feel if we got those picks we’d need to with need.

I'd make them give us their 6th overall, and two 2nd rounders and then I'd make the deal. Then with the 6th overall pick, I'd take either Fitzpatrick, Barkley, or Chubb, in that order. If all three are gone, I'll take Quenton Nelson.

Then I'd possibly even try to move back into the 1st round by using the additional 2nd rounders to make a move on getting ILB Roquan Smith if he lasts to the mid-late 1st round.

Pretty solid freaking plan.

I would do something similar!

BTW, I called this Jets trade a few weeks ago. :D

We get to talk about this for 4 straight months!!!! Who's excited?

Yeah, and in a few short months, we get to hear all the "Wow! I said this would happen months ago", stuff.

Pretty much everything the Colts do will prompt such a comment, 'cause collectively, we'll have addressed every option.

I can't wait.

But hey, when it happens, I can remind them I predicted they'd say that months ago.

I can't wait.

I would definitely do a trade with the jets if the Giants or Browns take Barkley. Other than him, any talent at 6 would be pretty good.  Maybe even try to trade back a second time to 10-15 range and try to snap a couple more 2nd and 3rd rounders.  Then look for Roquan Smith or Conner Smith for our first round pick.  In the early 2nd round, I also like Bryce Love out of Stanford if we can’t get Barkley,  or Christian Kirk WR out of A&M.  Rashaad Penny out of San Diego State should be our target for steal of the draft.  Any thoughts??

    • Yeah it’s the going three and out that’s the issue.  That has nothing to do with the defense.  That’s all on the offense.  If the offense could sustain a drive you’d also rest the defense so they aren’t spent by the 4th quarter as they clearly were in the Texans game too.

    • A primary reason Why he needed to be more active in free agency. He has done well throughout his drafts to add contributing NFL roster caliber players, however, there is a mounting lack of true difference makers  on the defensive roster. His stubbornness with overvaluing his own draft picks is getting very old- especially on defense -to your point. I also realize some of these players are being held back by Bradley's simple and tired defense.
