Appears they found the bats.

haha Not really. They have only 6 hits today. But they have had walks and timely hits. It is only 5-4.

Last night, the Mets had the Cubs lineup out there. They had something like 13 or more extra-base hits.

One rule discussed last week during a Cubs game is to allow the home team to decide to use the DH and/or allow them to use it like softball and DH for someone other than the P

That would be horrible. No. No. No.

The advantages of the softball rule is that a team could carry a Defensive Specialist and/or be able to use a player who is in a slump in the field only

You wrote that it is the home team that decides whether to use the DH or not. That gives the home team too much of an advantage. If the home team knows that the opponent has an Edgar Martinez-type player (great hitter but poor fielder), the home team will choose not to use the DH. Being at home should not give you such an advantage.

I don't like that rule at all.

I don't like that rule at all.

They discussed two options

I actually prefer the Softball rule

Cubs are about to lose tonight, down 2-0 in the 9th. No Offense tonight.

Yeah offense was off, and the wind direction shift didn't help either, but can't rely on home runs all the time. Lackey had a great game though, 22nd career double digit strikeout performance!

Hey guys, my sister goes away on business often. She is in Chicago now, at Wrigley. She sent me a pic. Maybe I can post it soon.

I am out of LIKES but that would be cool stuff! Cubs look good today, up 2-0/Top of 5th.
