Colts Vs. Ravens Preseason Game Night Thread

Hi, Colts fans!   :)  Our 2016 Indianapolis Colts are back into the friendly confines of Lucas Oil Stadium (the building), after barely winning on the road at the Buffalo Bills 19-18 last Saturday.  Colts are hosting the Baltimore Ravens, and both teams are playing their first-ever scheduled preseason game, home or away, between the teams.

Ravens are also coming from their 22-19 win over the Carolina Panthers last Saturday, but the Colts will try to win their second straight preseason game in front of their home fans.

LOS's  retractable roof should be closed to keep everyone and everything dry  for tonight's 7:05PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff,  because cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms at 79 degrees, feels like 84 degrees, is the game forecast outside in Downtown Indianapolis, along with 45% precipitation, 77% humidity, and south/southwestern winds at 13 miles per hour.

NO injuries, as both teams continue to try to make through the first major cut from 90 to 75 players, and into the 53-man regular season team roster, and GO COLTS!!!!!    :cheer::coltslogo::cheer::1colts:  :colts::helmet:

It's pouring down rain here! It's safe to say the roof will be closed. I was just downtown yesterday for work and was right by the stadium, pretty cool area. The Colts Pro Shop is right across from the stadium on Capital Street. I didn't buy anything but went in there and looked around. They have a lot of nice Colts stuff.

    • In Indiana you can get a real nice 3 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms/showers/nice Kitchen/big living room house for 200,000 in a decent neighborhood. Where do you live NY or Cali
    • Smith has been having a hard time staying healthy the last few years and he's due 19 mil next season with no dead cap to cut him.
    • Well they replaced Strausser with Sparano which solved a problem.
    • I disagree about Smith.  He’s an absolute road grader as a run blocker. He’s graded as one of the best in that category.  His pass blocking was around 71 last year. Considering the need for knee surgery that’s pretty good considering the DE’s they went up against last year.    Fries was solid last year. He plays with a mean streak and through the whistle. Fries was better last year than Glowinski was as a Colt in my opinion. I don’t see any reason Fries wouldn’t continue to improve. He’s an ascending player.    I hope the Colts hit on drafting Kelly’s replacement.  It was good that he had a bounce back year after 2+ sub par years. However, they can’t pay everyone and having a center with a $14 million cap hit is too much.    You can’t pay everyone. It seems like the Colts have a plan in place to replace Kelly and/or Fries after this season but I expect the Colts oline to be even more consistent this year with a healthy Smith and a QB who is willing to stay in a clean  pocket.  I also feel like the depth is there to handle injuries.
    • One correction here.  The NFL has loosened the restrictions on veterans.  Six of the players have zero restrictions on how many NFL games a player has accrued.
