Zimmer From Runner

maybe if zimmer comes he bring Robert Mathis back. I believe Tampa is only other team chasing him. We better hurry up though, because I don't want bengals locking zimmer up with a contract extension.

It wouldn't be speed of decision-making that determines Zimmer's fate. He will go where he wants to go.

I would like Zimmer. Tressel as HC heck NO!!!!!!!!!! as OC MAYBE he is college .. good coach there, but both teams he has been with has blemishes/hits.. I am actually suprised he is still here.. NFL is a different story !!

I would also be good with PC jr. which I think the Colts will head... history shows they are offense oriented not defense ( which would be my preference)

Would prefer an offensive minded hc BUT Zimmer has that FIRE and PASSION needed to bring that INTENSITY out of a team. From what I hear his players on the D side LOVE it!!! Now if we could GET Carmichael as oc to go along with Zimmer the sky would be the limit. (BOTH are rising stars in the NFL coaching ranks) The Colts have had a Tressel TYPE coach (CONSERVATIVE mild mannered) the last 10yrs and UNLESS Peyton comes back Clyde can DEFINITELY be upgraded. The GOAT made that BASIC set offense go. Over the last few years it lacked imagination (hardly no multiple spread formations or pre-snap motion) and the play calling became predictable even WITH Peyton. Once the GOAT went down that offense was HARD to watch! A Tressel along with Clyde combo (as some have suggested) would leave the Colts SETTLING for MEDIOCRITY instead of STRIVING for GREATNESS..... :lombardi:

He's a defensive guy. That's why I've never understood all these Tressel OC comments.

Its amazing to me that people make statements like this when they have the internet at their finger tips. Tressel started out being a QB's, recievers, and running backs coach before getting the HC job at Youngstown st.. How exactly does that make him a defensive guy. Tressel is an offensive guy. The internet is your friend.

I have seen many talk about Tressel the same way and have just ignored it. It never made any sense to me either. I can see why they make the connection because of how well Ohio State was defensively, but yes, he is an offensive guy.

    • I doubt any of us here have spent more time studying the health issues of Latu than the Colts have.  If they are comfortable with it that’s good enough for me but that’s just me.
    • This makes me so happy. It's Karma for all the lies and deception the NFL has put out since recently. They supposedly care about player safety, so lets add a week to the regular season with plans to add more. All these international games where teams have to travel more and the fans get less home games. All the games now that are going to be on various streaming services off TV where people can't watch them with their family. The blatant terrible refereeing the last few years in order to rig games and expecting people not to notice. The Taylor Swift crap this last year where they sold their soul.   It's all about money. That's all the NFL cares about. We are trash to them. The players are trash to them unless they make the NFL money. I hope the NFL has to pay out $14B. This would be exactly what they deserve for ruining this sport to the point where it's almost unwatchable now.
    • This aged like fine wine. After this happened, I bet $1 on the Lakers to win the NBA Finals next year. Get $31 dollars if they do. I'm buying into the conspiracy theory that the league will give it to Lebron and Bronny. Also think the Lakers will make a move or two in FA.
    • When I say lose huge this is what I mean….    The NFL has to pay $4.7 BILLION for breaking anti-trust lawsuit.      BUT WAIT!!   It gets much worse!   Because it’s anti-trust that can turn into triple damages which means $14 Bill+   Now before you shout “Good!  I HATE the NFL!”  And you’re glad they lost, think of the broader implications…   The NFL gets $20 bill in income yearly.  Losing $14 bill is going to badly mess with the entire league.   Remember the 2020 and 21 seasons badly impacted by Covid.  Team salary caps took a big hit.  Rosters got messed up.  This would be even BIGGER.     FWIW:   The NFL says it will appeal.     For more Google: NFL Lawsuit
    • Definitely. He said the same things last year that he said this year in defending AD. He just didn't name the player he was talking about. I think QBs were the topic, so it could have applied to Levis or Stroud, but it was obvious he was talking about Stroud.   This year, some agencies advised their clients not to take the S2 test. That's about all I remember about it. I think the cognitive testing process has some image rehab to do, and if they can keep scores and results out of the public sphere, that's a good start for them.
