Biggest Underperformer: This is obviously Schreff, no rookie lineman has really played well, but you would expect Schreff to play better than a bunch of mid-rounders.

Biggest Overperformer: Henry Anderson. I knew he would do well, but I let groupthink effect my evaluation here.

Oh by the way:

Tevin Coleman -4.4

Remember when ya'll told me Tevin Coleman was good?

I don't know why you think this post was necessary.....

You've got plenty of red scores up and down your list, including Melvin Gordon listed at 35 who was drafted at 15 and he's got an almost identical score.

Plus,  Coleman was drafted in the 70's.....   no one thinks he's a bust.

You had him in the 4th round.     Past 100.      I don't think you've covered yourself with any glory.

By the way,   did I mention it's only a half season?

I was literally the only person who said don't buy into the Danny Shelton hype. His grade doesn't surprise me at all. I never got what people saw in him.

If I was 360 pounds and played in a weak division, I'd probably be a top player too.

Well....   the scales said 330 pounds and I don't know why you think the Pac-12 is a weak division?

It's the 2nd best conference in college football.

Sorry, after all the crap I took from homer IU fans about Coleman, and he still plays with the same problems as he did in college, I'll take this small victory.

Hasn't Coleman been hurt all year?

I'm kind of bothered that you'd use PFF grades, but I don't know what else there is to use. Maybe something that doesn't have Eric Kendricks at -5.0, but Benardrick McKinney at +1.4.

Coleman's played hurt for at least 2 years. It's what happens when your a small-ish back who can't avoid contact.

That's debatable. I would say the Big 10.

But aside from Stanford, Oregon, and maybe USC, none of the teams in that conference regularly produce top NFL talent. So it's not as if every week Shelton was going up against top offensive lineman, which is probably why he dominated. I remember in one of his highlight tapes. The center he was going up against was a true freshman.

How is Trae Waynes grading out better than Marcus Peters? Waynes has yet to start a game and he does not play much.

One would assume from Kendricks' PFF grade that he is playing poorly. However he has been a significant contributor to the Vikings defense. I wish I could better understand how PFF comes up with these grades.

Peters had a few flashy INTs at the start of the season, but other than that he's been beaten pretty consistently all year.

In defense of my Hawkeye...I believe that the Redskins run a power gap type of blocking scheme there. Scherff was schooled in the zone blocking that Iowa runs and I'm sure that has hurt his performance going from a zone scheme in college and being asked to do something different in the NFL. Just sayin

There were questions about Scherff's readiness before the draft. I still think he'll be good, but there was always going to be an adjustment period, no matter what scheme he was in.

Waynes is just as grabby now as he was in college. He'll get that figured out, but that was always going to be his issue.

And yeah, I totally disagree with the Kendricks grade. And even if you objectively graded each snap and had a low grade on him, you would still have to recognize how good he is and how good he's likely to be. I'd take him over McKinney with zero hesitation.
