Fleener

Allen is done in Indy. I think even the coaches are tired of feeling sorry for him. Just like Sean Lee in Dallas. I think the Colts move on from him in the off-season.

Coby Fleener has grown up a lot.

I think so too. Some people on this forum still think Coby is not a good football player but he's proved to be a reliable target. Sure he's had a couple embarrassing drops in the middle of the field but other than that he's proven his spot here in Indy. Allen is a great guy, great personality, but he's so nonchalant about everything. We don't have time for keeping injured players on the roster. I for one, am tired of that.

He played well, but cut the hair already! Lol

It seems like he doesn't drop the ball with the hair lol, Let em have it for 15 more weeks lol. But seriously in all honesty I love Fleener and what he brings to the table he has been pretty much consistent these last 3 years. He played a heck of a game and got alot of hard fought yards. With that being said, i dont think they bring back Allen when his contract is up, he's been injured far too often. When he is healthy the kid is a beast all around a great tight end. But he is always injured.

Fleener struggled to transition upon entering the league. He seems to get better and better all the time.

In all honesty, I think by now that he has all the talent Allen has. Fleener will be re-signed at the conclusion of this season. Allen, unless he wants to take a VERY cheap deal, is gone.

And I think that will help Coby even more. I think the more time we spend focused on developing Coby into a great TE the better he's going to be. I think trying to develop both he and Allen at the same time has actually been a detriment. The times when Coby has taken his biggest leaps and bounds forward has been when Allen is out.

Coby is a physical freak. He's strong as an ox, he's got great size, and even better speed for his size. I still remember how blown away I was by his pro day workout. The guy has all the physicals.

    • Pacers have a nice lead at halftime and should be favored to win this game.   No way Brunson was going to score 43 points again and Knicks just don't have alot of scoring other than him
    • Colts would still be in Baltimore if they build them a new stadium, but no.After the colts are gone Baltimore builds a new stadium and takes Cleveland's football team. Should of kept the Colts to begin with.
    • To be clear…. There has not been a suspension for a second violation.  This suspension is for the original incident which happened three weeks ago, back on April 17.   I think Doyel issued two apologies.  One that night and the other the next day.  Honestly, as awkward and clumsy as it was, I thought Doyle actually meant well.     I dislike Doyel as much as anyone.  But I think this is a bit of overkill.  I don’t think it comes from the Indy Star.  The newspaper is now owned by Gannett which owns USA Today.  Corporate wheels move very slowly.  I wish this had blown over.    If I had thought for a moment that Doyel was being a jerk or a bad guy in any way I wouldn’t mind someone dropping the hammer on him.  This all feels a bit much, but life is often unfair.     Ok…. I’ve defended Greg Doyel.  I’ll go take a shower now.
    • I wonder if Pierce might be used more instead of just being a deep threat?
    • I'm watching an NBA game for the first time in at least 5 years. I don't know any of the players but Turner looks familiar.    My brother is right. They are playing a lot faster than what I remember in the past. It is a lot more fun.   Maybe I don't remember but it seems that the refs are not calling Traveling as much as they used to. Is that right? They are letting the guys play. It is much more fun to watch.
