braveheartcolt
No problem. I like to lighten the mood some. I used to never lighten the mood... It is fun now although I do like a good debate. No you don't.....
OLD FAN MAN
the o-line scares me. we have no super stars. casto average, has trouble with speed rushers, Thomas hurt? holmes, untried, thornton, average, cherilus best of the bunch above average. this is on pass blocking. run blocking, history is not good. I tell it like it is, I am a colts fan and hope for better, mewhort ? hard for a draft pick to stand out in the first year. look out luck. only hope is two tight end sets , and passing to the rb. I don't like to be negative, but our o-line scares mecoffeedrinker knows more about o-lines than I do. please get on here and ease my pain, show me where I don't have to worry
dudeski
Heck the Patriots are good That is not an insult...now if Jay called you a Jacksonville fan or a Brown fan?Pagano will never say Trent Richardson is "so dumb" he cannot remember the plays.Pagano will never say Manusky's game plan was "the stupidest thing ever.'Pagano knows how to keep his team fired up. So glad to see players that support each other even though they may not make the cut.Pagan makes the team a family...I kind of like that players want to play here he didn't keep them fired up well enough
BlueShoe
Attacking pagano?!?Some of you guys really need to loosen up (not agreeing with everything coach says/does is attacking?) and get a joke sometimes (me reporting you for an insult).. I agree. He missed the joke. Not sure how, but this is a message board. Not believing anything Pagano says is a stretch; however, he does like to talk his players up. It is the players coach in him that shines through the media. He wants all of his players to do well so he can sing praises about them. And I am sure the players feed on the praise. It is a unique style of coaching; using positive motivation. I personally, have always thought it was the best way to manage people. So I get your point about not believing all the hype he says about every player. And I agree with you.
BlueCollarColts
I think our O-line will be much improved this year. We are replacing Mike McGlynn with Donald Thomas or at worst Jack Mewhort, that is a big upgrade. We also get Khaled Holmes who will be a lot better than Satele imo. GoColts8818
........ There's nothing in my post that said I believe Mewhort is better. I said I don't believe Thomas will be completely HEALTHY therefore Mewhort should get the nod so we're not rushing Thomas backwe have no idea if they are rushing him back or not, it's not unrealistic for a guy who went down in week two last year, even with as bad of an injury as Thomas had, to be ready for the start of this season the following year. I would guess if they didn't think he was ready to go and knowIng they have Mewhort that Mewhort would be out there. I'd also point out as we saw last year with Thornton (who started out necessity more than anything else) and Holmes not all rookies are Andrew Luck out of the box. Maybe Mewhort isn't ready to be a starter yet.
GoColts8818
Pagano raving about his new/unproven players? Doesn't he do that all the time?T-rich being a bowling ball of butcher knives, rainey doing anything and everything?I'm not taking anything pagano says seriously anymore...it's why it's called coach speak. Coaches have to say something when asked about a guy and even if someone stinks they can't some out and say it. It's best to not take things coaches say as 100% truth and read between the lines and form your own informed opinion (not saying you don't.) I'm feeling like Pagano is, cautious about it allIt's obvious that not only us fans but even now the coaches are fed up with these injury riddled seasons. It's costing us, and it shows. Team has the talent to be a #1 or #2 team in the AFC but can't stay healthy long enough to show it

TKnight24
Right, i missinterpreted then.it will be almost a year since his injury if he is not recovering then when will he?I wanna believe he's fully recovered now. But you have to also see the reality that he had a leg injury and Thomas isn't exactly the lightest feather. A lot of weight on that leg. Same concern I had with Josh Chapman. But hopefully he is fully healed so we can get this train to the SB moving
Archer
I think there's a competition between Thomas and Mewhort at LG. I expect Thomas to win because of his experience, but I think that Mewhort has great upside at the position and may be tough to keep off the field. I felt coming into camp that Thomas would be the likely starter if he's ready Day 1, and otherwise Mewhort would be the favorite if Thomas starts off on the PUP. Since Thomas was ready, he became the clear favorite. If Mewhort has a strong pre-season, he may be difficult to keep off the field. If history serves, he'll get PT soon enough due to interior line injuries, and most likely at LG. I'd think that if the RG or C gets injured, Plan A would be to move Thomas to the affected spot and to move Mewhort into the LG spot. All this will be affected by what happens in camp, of course, so the discussion is very premature...

IndyD4U
I don't think we need a free agent, but he does need to soak it up these next few weeks. I'm just glad it happened now. TC and preseason will help Mewhort get acclimated... It sounds good anyway

SilentHill
Maybe we let the Doctors determine if Thomas is at 100% on opening day. ;) I have a feeling they will not find him 100%, just a hunch.

TC and preseason will help Mewhort get acclimated... It sounds good anyway Yeah, not ideal but Mewhort was eventually going to be a starter on this team and likely at guard. I'm sort of excited in a way because from what I've read he's a really good run blocker. And if the line can blow holes open for the RB's consistently the offense will be scary good. And if they can get Trent to the 3rd level he'll be a beast.
