Based on the Draft Value Chart, the Browns' two 3rd-rounders together are worth a full 100 points more than #59. That's not even including the 7th-rounder.

 

Draft day trades usually favor the team giving up the higher pick. A 100 point variance isn't a big deal. And we could potentially swap a 6th for a 7th to make up some of the difference.

100 points is the equivalent of the 4th pick of the 4th round (#100 overall). Not insignificant.

And actually, draft day trades usually favor the team being asked to make the trade. If it was the Browns who were wanting to move up, you might be right that they'd take a hit. But if it's the Colts proposing this trade, you can bet it would cost more.
